This NEW drive thru concept blew my mind. I don’t get the reviews and they are just starting out.

Quality of meat is insane, tops every other Melbourne banh mi shop I’ve been to hands down. We ordered 3 banh mis, prawn spring rolls and the vermicelli bowl. Everything was perfectly balanced, and flavour was in your face respectfully. They slather a generous dreamy amount of pate and a hint of the egg mayo butter, and the shallots, scallions and chilli had the right amount of hit.

🐖 crispy roast pork belly banh mi (banh mi heo quay) 4.9/5 🐷 roast bbq pork banh mi (banh mi xa xiu) 4/5 🐓 bbq chicken banh mi (banh mi ga nuong) 4.5/5 🍤 prawn spring rolls 4.75/5 🍜 lemongrass grilled pork vermicelli bowl (bun thit heo nuong xa) 3.5/5

I am a proud Vietnamese who lives in a banh mi suburb and have been eating it as a household staple and trying all over East, South East, North and West and this one is definitely the one to take it all. I’d only ask for maybe a crispier roll, but I did eat it 30 minutes later and the bread was initially fresh and crunchy when I first got it. Recommend eating it straight away. $12.50 is higher than most banh mi spots but convenience and time efficiency (when improved), quality and PORTION SIZE (probs the most generous) is a bargain.

Go early to avoid disappointment and wait times. Let them find their feet first, because their quality and generosity is unlike any other banh mi spot. I honestly might have to say that this is the BEST banh mi in Melbourne (I think it’s better than the one everyone is currently raving about) The crispiest juiciest roast pork belly, the juiciest chicken, and on tiger roll -...

Taste BBQ Chicken Banh Mi Vietnam - A Western Suburbs Standout! Having embarked on countless banh mi quests across Melbourne's western suburbs, I can confidently say that the Taste BBQ Chicken Banh Mi from BanhMi Vietnam drive through is a cut above the rest. This isn't just another contender; it's a champion that truly stands out from the crowded field. From the very first bite, what immediately impressed me was the bread. Often, the baguette can be the weak link, but here, it was perfectly crisp, offering that satisfying crunch without being overly hard or dry. It held up beautifully to the generous filling, a testament to its excellent quality. And oh, the filling! The BBQ chicken was incredibly flavourful, with that delightful smoky sweetness that makes banh mi so addictive. Crucially, both the quality and quantity of the filling were exceptional. Each bite was packed with tender chicken, fresh herbs, and just the right amount of pickled vegetables and chili, creating a harmonious symphony of textures and tastes. There was no skimping here – it was a truly substantial and satisfying meal. If you're looking for an outstanding lunch option in the western suburbs, I highly recommend seeking out the Taste BBQ Chicken Banh Mi. It's a genuine gem that delivers on all fronts and will undoubtedly become a...

DRIVE-THRU BÁNH MÌ HEAVEN! 🥖🔥

Being the hardcore foodies we are, we’re always chasing the next great taste — and this place absolutely did not disappoint!

OMG… where do I even start? Imagine a Macca’s drive-thru, but instead of bland burgers, you’re handed mouth-watering Vietnamese street food through the window. That’s exactly what this spot delivers. And trust me — you won’t be the only one with the same idea. The line of cars says it all!

If you’re a fan of Vietnamese food in any form — bánh mì, rice paper rolls, spring rolls, fried rice, crispy BBQ pork with noodles — you’re going to lose your mind here.

We ordered the crackling pork bánh mì and the lemongrass pork bánh mì, and of course, no bánh mì experience is complete without a Vietnamese iced coffee. The rolls were huge, fresh, and perfectly crispy, absolutely packed with juicy, flavour-packed meat. No skimpy servings here — these were loaded.

We parked up, unwrapped our treasures, and devoured them in total silence — the universal sign of next-level food. Every bite was stunning.

Finding places like this is what being a foodie is all about — those “our place” discoveries you can’t wait to return to. And return we will… because that menu? We want to try everything on it.

Whoever dreamt up “drive-thru bánh mì” is...

Interesting experience, I guess it ws equivalent to waiting as per normal as you would at an shop/bakery. Vegetarian and Vegan options available for Banh mi, vermicelli bowl, rice paper and spring roll. Got the Vegan Banh mi, the Lemongrass flavour was very light on the tofu but the tofu itself was plentiful and soft. I think there was a lemongrass/spring ouin sauce on the tofu, it would have been nicer if the suce was applied to the inside of the bread instead of the out side of the tofu. The picked carrots a little too sweet, I liked that the spring onion was in fine slivers, I asked for less chilli... but didn't get any at all... the tiger roll itslf was hard, almost like it was a reheated roll, it was hard to bite into and chew. There was a but of a wait, especially with 6 cars ahead of me, but it was fun listening to everyone's orders behind me. The over all order to receiving wait time was about 10 minutes. I waited at the pickup window for close to 3-4 minutes while the person took.orders for 3 cars... would have been nice to have 1 person taking orders and 1 person to recieve payment give the food, otherwise it was an interesting experience. A little more pricey compared to your typical walk in banh mi bakery, but you see it in the quality of their packaging.
