Original review: I went in this morning and asked whether they could accommodate for two adults, two high chairs and a pram. Unfortunately they couldn’t seat us in the courtyard as it was raining but the waitress said they could seat us inside which was fantastic. I brought my two little ones in and I began to feel unwelcome from the moment my son starting to play with the plastic cups that they supplied. I was getting nasty looks from the waitress and barista and I wish I had left at that time but as I was waiting for a friend - I stayed. The glares continued throughout our whole visit - making me feel extremely uncomfortable. We all at breakfast and us adults had coffee - my food was good however my friend could even eat her meal as it was undercooked. While we were leaving, my son accidentally knocked over a glass and although I was extremely apologetic, the waiter didn’t even look at me to accept my apology. Can you imagine? Read moreReally good coffee and great food and service. Only disappointment was that the menu listed Mushroom Medley dish as vegan but also stated that it came with haloumi. When I asked the staff they just said they could make it without the haloumi and did not seem concerned about the misinformation on the menu. I love that they have vegan options clearly marked on the menu but it was lucky that I read the description and questioned this.
Additional note: Thank you for your response but it is clearly marked as Vegan on the menu, there is no o after VG as in attached photo.
Further additional note: You changed your response form "the dish is marked as VGo" to "the dish should be marked as VGo" after I added the photos to show that it was marked as VG. That was my point in the first place, you need to update your menu. An apology for incorrect menu information rather than shifting blame to staff might be a better way to...
Read moreI feel sad about my experience here. I had wanted to come here for so many months and made a special effort to try it. Besides receiving a smile upon entry, the server continued with his conversation unbroken despite me going up to the counter. I had never been here before so didn’t know if it was table service or one had to go to the counter.
I went up to the counter but the guy didn’t move and I couldn’t find the menu, so I looked around and took it from a sideboard, which I’m sure was only for waitstaff use. I didn’t find anything I wanted to eat and that’s likely in part because I was annoyed so I walked straight back out. It was all the same as if I were invisible. This is not the means to repeat custom, let me tell you.
