Belgrave Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Melbourne

Never, Ever Again Limited for choice in our area. Have ordered fish and chips for last 4 weeks. Every single time the fish is way overcooked, batter is dark brown, and the chips have a bitter taste. On at least 3 of the weeks I asked them "please don't over cook the fish, but it happened time and time again. They take the fish out and leave it sitting on the drainer so that when you get home, the fish is almost cold. There is not one smiling face there, the owner's behaviour is ridiculous as he continually abuses his young staff, and all in all an awful experience that I will never repeat...

Has this shop changed hands? The owners are so rude. Haven't been here in a while because the food is much nicer at upwey fish and chip shop. Was walking past and thought I might grab the kids a minimum chips. I asked about minimum eftpos requirements and it was $10 which is fine but the rudeness in which my question was answered was shocking. Generally the shopkeepers on belgrave main street are lovely and in light of so many businesses closing, you think you would try a bit harder. We won't...

Came for dinner at 5:30 on a Friday when the kebab shop down the street was closed.

Staff were rude, staff were sneezing with no gloves and there was no sign of handwashing or sanitizer.
