Sadly I won't be returning to this establishment. The quality of the food there os okay but you have to guess how much your takeaway order will cost.
They no longer have printed takeaway menus. Which while understandable to an extent, I still find annoying. Much worse than not having printed menus though is the fact that: a) The menu board they have displayed in their foyer does not have the current prices. b) They don't even have a takeaway menu on their website. There are plenty of other pizza places around with food of the same standard so I won't be returning to Benvenuti.

I'm glad that Benvenuti took the opportunity to reply to my review so that everyone can more clearly see what the restaurant's customer service is like. So let's analyse the Benvenuti response:
"Hi Gary , As we have previously discussed in the email you have sent , our menus are online , & as I also stated in our email , we support many different companies in our community, unfortunately your company is one we do not sponser . We respect your choice not to return to Benvenuti ."
The email Benvenuti referred to is one that I sent following what I considered to be unsatisfactory service. In a nutshell, I took exception to Benvenuti charging more than their posted menu indicated for a takeaway order. The cost of the order, according to the menu on the wall in the foyer of the restaurant, was $181.70 but I was charged $190.20. Benvenuti claim that their menus are online but if you check their website you'll only find a dine-in menu; not takeaway. (I just double checked that as of 9-May-2023, the only menu on the website is the dine-n menu.) So the Benvenuti response to this review about the availability of menus is not accurate.
As for Benvenuti's mention of which companies they support, I think I need to provide some context considering that I hadn't mentioned that aspect in my initial review. When I placed my order, in store on 18-April I asked if there was any chance of a discount seeing it was quite a large order and it was for residents of a retirement village. No discount was offered. I was disappointed about that and I mentioned it in my email.

Read moreI normally go to this restaurant quite frequently and have always enjoyed my meals but last Friday it seemed to be going downhill. Probably because the big boss ( The Wife, who is lovely ) was not there. Food was not too flash and everyone that ordered the mash potato with their main meals all said it looked and tasted bad one said more like slime. Then there was the inconsistancies of the chicken parmigiana that was cooked. Some were great and the others looked like a pancake, kitchen must of ran out of bread crumbs. Staff were great and did their job well but the owner was just about yelling near our table, trying to converse a long story 5 meters apart from customer and the waitress explaining when to server them the pizza and at what part of the meal. The worst was the new Gelati they are now selling . All the kids on the table who ordered a gelati all said it tasted funny. I tasted the lemon Gelati and can honestly say 100% it tasted like the smell of the yellow tablets they use in the mens urinal toilets. Also gave the chocolate a taste too and it wasnt good. Call me picky but at least this time it wasn't me that made that comparison to the yellow tablets as others who tasted it also confirmed. Had a very up then down experience here Pizza was amazing and the waitresses where very friendly with great service I ordered a steak cooked medium rare. When I received my meal my steak was over cooked to medium well to well done so I asked for a new steak ($40 steak definitely dont want it over cooked) the waitress was very polite about it and said they will cook me another one. Waited 15-20 minutes still no meal by that time the whole table had finished eating and was ready to go. So I called the waitress over and asked her to let the chef know not to worry about my meal we had to go Not even 2 minutes later a man (not sure if he was the manager he was making pizzas) came up to our table with so much attitude being very rude saying my steak was medium rare (I wish I taken a photo) I was polite and said it was just pink in the centre of the steak that's not medium rare. Then he started getting louder and anger saying im wrong I seen the steak ect. Things got a little heated after that.
