Betty's Burgers — Restaurant in Melbourne

SUBSEQUENT TO THIS REVIEW, I received a call from the GM of Bettys Burgers, who handled my complaint in a caring and decent manner. I am very pleased with the manner in which this complaint has been dealt with.

This evening I ordered a meal via the app, from your Elsternwick Store. I have to express my disappointment, and note that the standard of service over the recent past has fallen significantly. I note that I had previously used the Brighton Store, but I found that the staff there were slow, usually distracted by other teens from the area, and they often part filled orders, leaving shakes to get warm while completing the remainder. So I then tried, and continued to buy from the Elsternwick Store. I have found unfortunately that the standard of service at the Elsternwick store has also now fallen. A fortnight ago, I ordered a meal, only to find that they had not filled the entire order, and the strawberry shake was so strong it looked like someone had bled into it. The missing items meant that I had to go back to collect the balance - and so when I got home the original order was cold and had to be reheated in the microwave. The shake went into the bin. We thought that this was an isolated incident and so we thought we would try again today. This time I ordered via the app. I ordered Betty's Classic, specifying no onions, no lettuce and no tomatoes. I also ordered the Lobster Roll, as well as a Classic Plant and fries, and two shakes. The Bettys Classic was not customised at all. As to the lobster roll, it was tiny - not like the image in your promotional material. That hand model in the promotional photos must have had child hands! Next time I will go to the Grill'd...

Colourful, friendly, and full of good vibes, that’s exactly how I’d describe Betty’s Burgers! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming. The staff were genuinely lovely and a special shoutout goes to our server, Saskia she was such a beautiful soul with amazing recommendations.

Let’s talk about the food: the sriracha mayo? Easily one of the best dips I’ve ever tasted it had tang, it had spice and it was totally addictive. The fried chicken was perfectly crunchy and had great texture, though I personally would’ve loved a bit more flavour in the seasoning. The fries were crispy, golden, and satisfying which is exactly what you want from a burger joint.

Now, the milkshake deserves its own spotlight. I ordered the chocolate peanut and it was an absolute 10/10 it was rich, creamy and just the right amount of indulgent. Next time I’m definitely diving into the burger menu. Based on the vibes and service alone, I’d go back in...

Went to elsternwick on a Friday for lunch My daughter had the chicken fried burger and she enjoyed it but I sadly could not eat at the restaurant as they do not cater for food allergies. I can’t eat garlic or onion and as such their crumbed chicken for example has additives that would make me Ill. Catering to a young demographic is great but diners who have FODMAP issues can’t eat here. Thus 3 stars. I had to go elsewhere for my lunch. Staff at the counter were obliging but did not offer alternatives. Food presentation was decent and served in a basket and that’s better than so s new overpriced burger place in Southbank that shoves a burger in silver foil and charges $21. Prices were fair. Portion size was decent. My daughter enjoyed her chicken burger. Just a shame I could not have...
