Bing Chillin had great customer service and a nice environment, and the interior had a really cozy, bright, and simple feel to it. However, the best part was the shaved ice! We ordered the mango, hojicha, and biscoff shaved ice, and in my opinion, the last one (biscoff) was the best. The hojicha shaved ice had a strong tea taste with a slight bitterness to it, and it came with pearls, jelly, and condensed milk (take note: we ordered extra pearls which was why there was an extra spoon on the tray). The mango shaved ice was sweet and refreshing, and came with biscuit crumbles, mango, and mango jelly (an add-on). And lastly, we have the biscoff shaved ice. This one was the best in my opinion, because of how the crumbled biscoff biscuit added a crunchy texture to the soft shaved ice, while the strawberries were a nice fruity addition. Not to mention, the biscuit on top was also really delicious! Overall, I definitely recommend Bing Chillin for shaved ice and dessert lovers. It’s also nice to consider ordering add-ons with your order, as the toppings usually run out really quickly if you have lots of people sharing a bowl. Additionally, tea-time (evening-ish) and after dinner is usually when a lot of customers turn up, so make sure to come before then!

With a name inspired by the almost hypnotic John Cena meme, I couldn’t help but give Bing Chillin a try. There’s a quite a sizeable selection of bingsu to choose from, although not much else and drinks are mainly limited to hot teas. We settled on the pandan coconut and thai milk tea bingsu. The shaved ice texture was very light and pleasant. Flavors worked well, and we particularly enjoyed the pandan coconut flavor combination. A few of the toppings were a little sparser than I would have preferred. But at around $15 each, the pricing is really fairly reasonable in the current market. We were initially seated outside on a cold winter’s evening and the 2 gas heaters in use did little to blunt the cold, but admittedly this is our fault for succumbing to cold dessert on such a cold night. We then moved inside once a table was available which was thankfully much warmer but had an air of humidity that was reminiscent of eating shaved ice desserts in South East Asia šŸ˜…. Overall, very good textured and tasting shaved ice desserts and nicely poised in the eastern suburbs.

I’ve been to the city location and now the OG location and I love both places. The dessert is consistent at both places and I’m glad to hear that they will be expanding to another location. They are a super busy dessert spot and I can definitely understand the hype. For only $16, you can get a good portion of bingsu which is flavoured nicely and comes with different toppings. $16 is such a steal for shaved ice, a lot of other places have an insane price tag for dessert that doesn’t taste as good as here. I personally think that their shaved ice is sweet enough that you don’t need the condensed milk, but some people may like it super sweet and have the condensed milk with their bingsu. We tried some drinks as well, iced hojicha and iced matcha which were both $7 - definitely worth the price, the matcha and hojicha flavour was strong which is how I like them. I can’t wait to try out more flavours on their menu!
