Soupa Kitchen — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went there on several occasions to have lunch and dinner, and I love that I can customise my entire meal from the soup base, to the ingredients and choice of rice/noodles. Every soup base I tried, from the tomato soup, to seafood soup, signature non-spicy soup, bak kut teh etc were all uniquely delicious, kudos to the chef/management for ensuring quality in every broth which is amazing ! Strangely the best place to have a meal when I was sick with the cold bug because I can have a bowl of clear soup with fish slices & plenty of vegetables to my liking, plus a side of beautifully flavoured stewed egg and a bowl of green bean soup (so good when your body is heaty/feverish). Soupa Kitchen - Box Hill⁣ Mince and Peas Spicy Noodles ⁣ Ohhhh yes. How good are soup puns. This restaurant aptly named “Soupa Kitchen” grabbed my attention while I was walking by. I wasn’t super (Soupa) hungry but I definitely needed an afternoon snack and how grateful I was to see these absolute mad dogs offering a $6.60 soup! Soupa Kitchen also does Malatang style order by ingredient offering but had an a la carte offering too. The noodles came to me quickly - a piping hot cardboard bowl of Sichuan goodness. This dish had a mala kick to it. Numbing Sichuan peppers that really played tricks on my tongue. A generously spicy amount and a great addition to the fragrant mince and well cooked chickpeas. So they basically missed my order. Told me the kitchen is preparing my order and asked me to wait patiently. When I ordered my food, there was only 1 table of 3 customers who had been served. So by right, my food would be out for the next 15-20mins. But I waited 45 mins and other 4 tables of 8 people' orders were served. I approached the counter guy second time and he told me that "the kitchen is preparing my food, dishes have to be served one by one". For the whole 30 mins after my second approach, the waiter did not even checked my order. I went up to the counter and specifically asked if he can check my order then he told me that the order was missed and has not been put through to the kitchen. I am deeply disappointed. He could have checked my order when I first approach him and tell me the current conditions instead of giving me "general politically correct answer" by saying the kitchen is preparing my food.
