I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but I am compelled to write this one as I am still in shock hours later at how bad and overpriced this experience was.
First and definitely last take away order from here. Tom Yum soup with prawns at $14 was greasy and had 4 tiny prawns that were overcooked and chewy. They appeared to be bulk bought frozen prawns and were of poor quality.
The Red Duck Curry at $23.90 was mostly sauce, hardly any duck or vegetables all of which was overcooked. The steamed rice also was pricey at $5.90 and so overcooked that it was actually mushy and tasted like it sat in the steamer for hours. A tiny portion (about 100mls) of plain green curry sauce with no protein or vegetables was reluctantly given for an additional $2.
There are so many great Thai and Asian restaurants around the area and pricing is similar, if not far less, however I don't mind paying for quality or appropriate quantity.
If one of them weren't open, I'd actually prefer to eat a tin of soup and toast or 2 minute noodles than waste my...
Read moreHonestly I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant before. It all began we when we reluctantly advised our waitress that one of our dishes was not suitable. The waitress went to the kitchen and advised the owner. The owner began to yell and reprimanded the waitress for offering us another dish and told her to never do that again if a customer complains. The owner then walks over to our table and begins yelling at my friends and I for saying that the dish was not suitable. We were absolutely stunned and after about 2mins of the owner abusing us she walks out to the back of the restaurant and begins to slam doors, we heard pots crashing and the owner continued to yell at her waitress for saying that we could order another dish. Then can you believe the owner comes back out for round two of yelling at my friends and I. I politely requested that she stop yelling and speaking to us in the way. My friends and I left the restaurant without eating our meals. NEVER eat at this restaurant!!!!!! Absolutely disgusting...
Read moreService was friendly. Food was average. The portion sizes are quite small. I have a feeling they cut down the portion size of the main served if you go in with a Groupon but I hope I’m wrong. The cost of running a restaurant is for sure expensive and they can’t exactly let you eat there and just break-even. So it’s understandable.
You end up paying $35 for a couple of spring rolls, skewers, curry puffs, 2 very small mains and a scoop of ice cream. Wouldn’t go in and pay full price ($66) for portion sizes that small. I think Groupon is an opportunity to showcase the restaurant in the hopes of attracting some return customers who are impressed by the food. Unfortunately due to the small servings we received I wouldn’t know if the full menu is the same or larger portions and won’t be trying again to find out with the wide array of other food options...
