Blue Marlin Fish n Chips — Restaurant in Melbourne

Okay, so I've tried this place twice now and I can't say I am happy with my experience. My first time experience at BLUE MARLINS was very average, however I had to wait for an extended period of time and found that the food was not so great. I ordered the Grilled Fish Pack, which is grilled fish, rice and salad. When I was eating I noticed that the fish tasted odd and had a weird off taste, as well as the salad, having WAY TOO MUCH dressing and made me say YUCK out loud. It was absolutely nasty. The rice was alright. I had to ask for a glass of water to water down everything. My second experience at BLUE MARLINS was today, 27 Sep 2018 and my father and I decided to get the same meal; the Grilled Fish pack. As I was paying, my father decided he wanted a bottle of coke and when I realised that what I paid for was a lot more than I expected...I asked again how much the bottle of coke was. They told me it was $4.50. $4.50?!!? How pricy is that! Oh my. So, I ended up just paying for the drink and when I got the food, (again having to wait an extended period of time) the fish still had that same off taste, and the salad this time didn't have a lot of dressing and however it still tasted disgusting. So during my meal, I politely asked for a glass of water. The waitress looked at me then looked away towards the fridge where all the 'unbelievably priced drinks' were and told me that 'We don't have any tap water, the only drinks are in there (pointing at the fridge)' UNBELIEVABLE! How dare she lie to me like that? I don't recall them saying that to me when I asked the first time I came! At that moment, I just quickly finished my food and left the place. I couldn't stand to be there. Disgusting. Distasteful. Money...

What a gahdayum FEED! Let me start with my favourites - the grilled blue genadier was really moist and came on a bed of crunchy chips with the BEST tartare sauce. Their loaded cheesy bacon fries were so bombbb! The fries kept their crunch and had thick cut beef bacon bits that were crispy and chewy like jerky, with sweet bbq sauce - sooo good! Their scallops were generously sized and nice and tender, while their potato cake was crispy and fluffy. The grilled chicken salad came with the same chicken as the skewers, which were flavoured well and super juicy and tender. We enjoyed the poke bowl, which came with grilled salmon and chewy brown rice. Their burgers were pretty decent, while the parma was crunchy and loaded with cheese and napoli sauce. Horrible experience at Blue Marlin last night. We ordered one Grilled barramundi pack and one fish and chip pack, they couldn't do a battered barramundi for the fish and chip pack so we told the staff member straight away we would like to have 2 grilled barramundi packs instead, we asked her if we need to pay extra she said no. Order arrives at the table and it's a fish and chip pack, told the staff member that the order is incorrect and the blond girl that took our order came outside with the incorrect order, and said well that's what it says on the docket. Of course that's what it says coz u didn't not take the order properly. While placing the incorrect order on our table, which means I'm forced to eat something I don't want she also says" next time u make sure u don't order battered barramundi for Ur fish and chip pack", I turned around and told her that she needs to make sure she takes the correct order, her answer was yes I did, how is it correct when we went back inside to inform staff that we wanted two grilled barramundi packs. I was disgusted the way she dumped our meals on the table and we were forced to eat something we didn't want. Never coming back to this...
