Zambrero offers a refreshing twist on classic Mexican cuisine, and my recent visit was a delightful experience. The vibrant and casual atmosphere instantly made me feel at home, perfect for a quick meal or a relaxed gathering.

I started with the Quesadilla filled with a generous amount of gooey cheese and your choice of protein. I opted for the pulled pork,which was tender and packed with flavor. The side of pico de gallo added a fresh, zesty contrast that elevated the dish.

For my main course, I chose the chicken and marinated lamb bowl and it did not disappoint. The base of cilantro-lime rice was topped with black beans, grilled chicken, fresh guacamole, and a sprinkle of queso fresco. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and the portion size was generous, making it a satisfying meal.

One of the standout features of Zambrero is their commitment to sustainability and social impact. For every meal sold, they donate a meal to someone in need, which makes enjoying their delicious food feel even better.

Zambrero's is usually my go to but this location has been a huge disappointment. Every single time I try to give this place another shot, I'm met with bad food. Your food is 80% lettuce, and anything you pay EXTRA for, you don't get. This burrito was all lettuce and a few rice. No protein or beans. And I've ordered a burrito bowl before too, which was 70% lettuce and a tablespoon of everything else. And the extra money I paid for the salsa wasn't even given. And 0 jalapenos was included when your menu says it's included. Teach your employees to actually give us what we pay for if you want continued service (not from me, because I refuse to give this place another chance).

EDIT: i'd like to edit in response to the owner - how is your staff supposed to remember EVERY customer and EVERY order. Oh, they don't remember me so I must be lying? My orders were ordered in person, not online. I didn't forget where I ordered from. Why are you trying to deflect instead of actually addressing the problems of your restaurant. We absolutely love coming to Zambrero – Caroline Springs! Ever since moving to Mount Atkinson, we have been searching for a go-to Mexican spot, and this place has won our hearts. We used to eat Zambrero all the time in Adelaide, and we’re so happy to see it spreading in Melbourne.

We’ve tried GYG, Mad Mex, and a couple of other Mexican places, including Hencho El Mexico, but when it comes to freshness and taste, Zambrero is on another level. The ingredients are always so fresh, the flavors are incredible, and every bite is just perfect. We first came for breakfast just to try it out, and now we find ourselves craving it every second day!

The restaurant is spotless, and the staff is so welcoming—it truly makes the experience even better. Huge shoutout to the amazing owner and team for maintaining such high standards. Five stars from us! Highly recommend to everyone in the area. We’ll definitely be back again and...
