La Porchetta Caroline Springs — Restaurant in Melbourne

Very disappointing and disrespectful experience the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night I mean empty not one person but the staff you’d think it would have at least one or two people but no ghost town anyway i decided to give them a chance and did i regret it the owners wife who is the acting manager was so rude to me i felt very disrespected and also disgusted as she was hitting on my friend who came into the restaurant alongside me that being said i ordered one pizza with seafood and a pasta both the pasta and pizza was so undercooked it was not funny i couldn’t understand why being it had seafood are the chefs crazy the pizza was just plain disgusting the pizza maker sprinkled every topping but the toppings I ordered on my pizza i did check with my friend as he had a pasta he did try the pizza and said he wouldn’t feed it to he’s dog and i thought he was joking so i laughed he stopped me and said it’s not a joke this pizza shouldn’t be served to people he was surprised being in the food industry that the place wasn’t shut down by now serving this kind of garbage ( I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ) going to this restaurant they should probably closedown for good much better food and prices at slices just...

I thought I might go to La Porchetta for dinner and treat myself with a veal parmigiana, and it was awesome. The sauce and cheese was perfectly balanced with the meat, the chips were good and I didn't walk out hungry. The atmosphere was pretty good, capturing the atmosphere an expensive restaurant would have, even with all the screaming kids in the background, but it was nothing too unique compared to other expensive restaurants. Now, the main reason which motivated me to write this review was the service. I mean, sure, I know it can get busy, but the second half of my meal was interrupted multiple times by people asking me if I was finished, yet the chips on my plate were still there, still being eaten. When it came to the point when I was actually done, and I asked to take away the leftover pizza my family members had, the staff took a really long time to get the pizza box, despite them rushing me out earlier on. I felt like I was being rushed out just to make way for people who were inconveniently late, I arrived there first, I should have the time to finish my meal. Ordered a seafood platter and mash and my partner got the parmigiana. I absolutely love the seafood platter as I was craving for seafood, the portion is big, I wish there was an option on how you cook the fish as I would loved to have the fish filet grilled for smokey taste (but i think that would be annoying to do as the fish might stick to the chargrill), most of the seafood were fried/deep fried except for the mussels of course. I couldve ordered a side salad to cut the deep-fried taste but glad I didnt cause I saw how underwhelming their side salad was. My partner felt very underwhelmed with his chicken parmi as he was expecting too much for its $36 price. According to him, the chicken is perfectly cooked but it felt like not hand-made but a schnitzel that you get frozen from a factory. The size was also small for him.
