This restaurant has had serious and repeated issues with food quality, raising major concerns about their hygiene and food safety standards.
The first incident happened about a month ago when I ordered a Chicken Dosa while dining in. The dish was spoiled and clearly unfit for consumption. After bringing it to the staff’s attention, they replaced it, and I initially dismissed it as a one-time mistake.
Unfortunately, this was not an isolated case. Just recently, I ordered Gobi 65 via home delivery, only to find that it, too, was spoiled. I called the restaurant immediately, and while they offered to swap the dish, they insisted that I purchase something else at the same time—an unreasonable demand considering the issue was entirely their fault. Despite my request, they refused to let me speak to a manager.
When I finally managed to reach the manager a few days later, his response was astonishingly unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of addressing the issue, he rudely stated:
“If you are looking for a refund, I won’t give it. I’m very busy here. I get too many complaints but also a lot of customers, so I don’t care. If you want to raise it in reviews, just do it. Don’t call us back.” And then he hung up on me. He even admitted that he receives so many complaints but claimed he had no time to address them because he was too busy—which raises even more concerns about the restaurant’s operations.
At this point, my concern is not just about the money but the safety of my family, especially my children, who consumed the food. Serving spoiled food is a serious health risk and can lead to foodborne illnesses, which can be particularly dangerous for children and vulnerable individuals. The fact that this has happened multiple times suggests serious issues with food storage, handling, or hygiene practices at this restaurant.
If you ever receive spoiled food from any restaurant, don’t just accept a replacement—report it to Melton City Council immediately. It’s important to do the right thing rather than just overlooking such serious issues.
A responsible restaurant should prioritize food safety, customer well-being, and professional service. Instead, this restaurant’s management has demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and basic customer service standards.
I am sharing my experience to warn others and to urge the restaurant to take immediate corrective action—both in improving food safety and addressing the shockingly unprofessional conduct of...
Read moreFew months back the Dosa Hut CarolineSprings was great in every aspect but the experience Me and my sister had last night was horrible.thoroughly disappointed with the pathetic customer service. Waited at least 20 minutes for the girls on the floor to get menu and that too had to ask for the menu which clearly reflected that customer service was not on the girls priority list. Then again kept waiting to get the girls attention to place the order but they were unbothered as if we were invisible to them and mind you it was not busy as well.
After waiting for an hour again had to go the reception and there to had to call the girl to get her attention to ask if anyone is interested to come and take the order as we were waiting for long time and she replied we are busy but the funny and annoying thing was that nor she was on the floor neither she was attending any customers on the reception and then she said you can give the order here on the reception as if she doesn’t wanna move .Three girls yet no customers service. I even counted the ppl dining in and to be exact 35 ppl in total. Three girls ,One was busy talking to three men , girl who’s mostly on the reception was in her own La La Land and the third one she was like that she’s just waiting her shift to be over. One guy came waited and the girl on the reception just left him unattended in between from where he got frustrated and started yelling even started abusing felt bad for the girls but girl on the reception was at fault how come you can just leave without explaining or excusing yourself.it definitely is insulting for someone who’s giving the order and person who’s taking the order just leaves without explanation anyway finally the girls comes to take the order and we started giving the order and guess what no Roti’s no Naan. I mean like seriously. In 16 years of me living in Australia not a one Indian restaurant I have seen running out of the breads and most disappointing thing was staff seemed not caring about it. The overall experience was frustrating and far from the warm hospitality one expects at an Indian restaurant. Owner needs to pay attention on the customer service and the staff currently working there especially on the ones working last night as we never saw this pathetic customer service in the past whenever we went to the restaurant to...
Read moreI should start by saying that the food is quite decent although there are Indian restaurants around that make tastier food. The dine in area is nice and clean we do go there once in a while. This time we were there for dinner and ordered some curries and nuns. Around 10 pm the lady who was waiting us came told us that the dining was closing in 10 mins. Because the restaurant closes at 10:30 pm we thought that it was the kitchen closing time. After another 5 mins, she came to our table and insisted on taking away our food and drinks, even the ones that we were still working on. When my wife insisted on keeping the drink at the table the lady reluctantly kept it back reminding her again that it was closing time. Anyway after wrapping up we were at the counter to pay our bill when I enquired to confirm what the closing time was they said it was 10:30 pm same as what is mentioned in google. At this time they were still serving food at one table although they had managed to drive away customers from all other tables. I think if the employees with to lock up the doors by 10:30pm then they should update their closing time to 10 pm which will leave them with enough time for house keeping, instead of rushing customers who have paid for the food and have no idea as to why they are being rushed out 15 mins before closing time. I tried to provide this feedback to the stuff at the payment counter but it was not well received hence leaving this review to help other customers. I strongly do NOT recommend this place. Spend your time and money somewhere else. There are better places around. Our experiences in Priya and Chaskah that are within a kilometer of this restaurant have...
