This is a great cafe on High Street Armadale. So why not 5 stars? I will get to that. So we arrived for breakfast around 7:30am. There were a few tradies outside waiting for coffee etc and we went inside. One of the guys behind the counter looked at us in that way of ‘do you have a booking’ and asked us to wait. The restaurant area was about half full. He then motioned us to a table for 2 up the back. No warmth in the welcome whatsoever - which in my book is a minimum for a 5 star rating. Being busy is no excuse.
The waitress took our drinks order immediately which was great. Flat white and Detox juice were delivered promptly. The Flat White however was luke warm - one of my pet hates. My daughter ordered the chilli eggs and I had poached eggs on toast. Both were excellent - well presented.
I ordered another coffee and asked for it to be hot. The hot part of the equation was spot on but the presentation of the second coffee was really amateur. See photo below of both coffees.
Service prompt and efficient.

Read moreI have been coming to Bruno's for a year now, EVERY work morning. And its not just the most delicious coffee that keeps me coming back, but the most beautiful, passionate, and friendly team who hand me not just the coffee, but literally their beautiful smiles and hearts (legit, I get a heart drawing on my coffee cup every morning!)
Whether its my every day order of an 'extra hot long black' that they keep laughing with me about, or them having my order ready to go as soon as they see me across the street- it's one of my most favourite moments in the morning.
I recommend everyone to get a coffee at the cafes near and far, and then come to Bruno's, to be really able to appreciate how top-notch their coffee is. And the people who make Bruno's- they are unmatched. Thank you so much Bruno's for being as attentive, friendly and loving as you are. You will always be a little piece of...
Read moreWe found ourselves in Armidale recently around lunch time and were looking for somewhere to eat. Bruno & Co turned up on a search so we chose it. We chose to sit indoors as it was raining. Upstairs was available and we found it quite pleasant. The menu is not extensive but this makes for easy choice. We selected the Pollo Piadina— Roasted chicken, provolone cheese, lettuce, confit tomatoes and aioli. Pumpkin & Corn Fritters — Served with rocket corn tomato salsa, roasted cumin labne, grilled halloumi, poached egg and avocado. We added extra bacon and were surprised by the generous serve. Finally we had The Reuben — Corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, pickles, mustard and aioli on rye. All were delicious and generous portion sizes. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the food came promptly. This was a very pleasant dining experience and I would highly recommend you try...
