Sadly the barman was devoid of personality and barely a grunt of recognition when we entered the empty bar. Second strike was no offer of service, not even a hello or welcome. Third strike was the complete absence of any Brendan Behan from the shelves in this so- called Irish literature specialist. Perhaps this bookstore bar is going for the Northern Ireland feel? The English pop music playing in the background certainly implied a very lackadaisical approach to Irish culture.

They also have a very favoritable wine selection. But they also do the best bar toastie I've ever had, you could almost call it gourmet. You must try the cheese platters too.
