I have anticipated on trying this restaurant for the first time and unfortunately based on this experience, I won't ever be coming back. I'm not a fan on writing bad reviews but it's hard to look pass when restaurant owners/staff don't manage quality control and just serve up sub-par quality food. There is a pricing difference as It states $15 for the Margherita pizza and $23 for the Tempo pizza on the menu, where as it costed $18 for Margherita and $24 for the Tempo pizza on the order online section. There was little to no visible leoparding on both pizza crusts, and the darker even browning colour indicated that the wood fired oven wasn't up to temperature and the pizzas had been in the oven for more than 90 seconds. Both pizza crusts were thick and little to no big air bubbles which leads me to think that the pizza was stretched intentionally to leave a thicker crust to give the visual appearance of an authentic Neapolitan. Half of the Tempo pizza was inedible as the underside was completely burnt, which meant that there was a hotpot in the woodfired oven and the staff had not turned it accordingly to prevent it from burning. The onions on the pizza was just cooked enough to turn translucent and was still crunchy to the bite with the raw onion taste and it overpowering the whole pizza as they were generous with the onions. A far cry from the menu stating it being 'caramelised onions.' The Margherita pizza did looked visually appealing but it did not negate that the San Marzano tomatoes they used were more on the acidic side which are supposed to be on the sweeter side. Having read that the owners have done their training and being certified with the (AVPN) and claiming they use fresh and honest ingredients on the about us page, that is all left to be questioned when the execution of the product and quality control are not upkept and maintained.

I had an incredibly appalling experience at Tempo Pizza. While I can't speak for the food, I must strongly condemn the appalling behaviour of one particular staff member: a bald chef, likely around 50 years old, works at the back in the kitchen. During a routine delivery pickup, I asked another staff member a simple, polite question about the wait time. This chef, without any justification, exploded with hostility, snarling, "Can't wait 2 mins, huh? Shut up and wait." His condescending and abusive comments continued as I waited. This chef's behaviour is not just unprofessional - it's outright disgraceful. It reflects a disturbing culture at Tempo Wood Fired Pizza where delivery drivers are treated with vile disrespect and looked down upon. I have honestly felt this multiple times at this location, but this time clearly, a limit was crossed. The way I was treated was unacceptable and utterly disgraceful. It’s clear that this restaurant harbours a toxic mindset where certain people, like delivery drivers, are seen as inferior and undeserving of respect. This experience ruined my day and left me feeling utterly disrespected. Me and my family would certainly never dine at a restaurant that couldn't uphold basic values towards fellow humans regardless of their status or background. The chef’s behaviour reveals a disturbing lack of basic decency and respect for others. Edit: I've found a photo of our culprit through another user.

If you're looking for a pizza place that offers delicious food and excellent customer service, then you might want to check out tempo pizza bar. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the friendly and welcoming service of the staff. They were attentive, helpful, and made sure I felt right at home. The margarita pizza was definitely the standout for me. The crust was crispy and chewy, and the sauce had a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The cheese was melted to perfection and the basil on top added a nice, fresh touch. It was clear that the kitchen takes great care in using fresh, high-quality ingredients in their dishes. What's even better is that this pizza bar is open late at night, making it the perfect spot for a late-night snack. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with plenty of seating options to choose from. It's a great place to grab a slice with friends after a night out. But what really set this pizza bar apart was the excellent customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. Whether it was making recommendations for toppings or checking in to see if we needed anything else, they really made us feel taken care of.

I am speechless. Peter, Dom and the entire team of this Italian family owned establishment has blown me away. First off, the store being open so late on a Monday morning after a Sunday night out in the Thornbury locale astonishes me. I was met with a very sleekly decorated restaurant with a homely atmosphere that was very inviting and traditional.

I was enamored by Peter's personality and charisma as he dealt with the high influx of Uber drivers delivering pizzas and menu items all night long. He served me efficiently and with the utmost customer care. I felt he was genuinely a top bloke after first contact. He answered all my enquires about hours and the store professionally and confidently. Definitely coming back here during the day to have a proper sit down. Happy I made closing just before 2am hit.

Dom processed my transaction smoothly and was nice to have a human conversation that wasn't forced customer service. Awesome guy too and definitely isn't shabby looking either if you get my drift. Enjoyed a complementary water on the house and that warmed my experience to the store massively. These are men who do great work and love their business.

The Italian Flag pizza featured in the photo was delectable. This is how woodfired pizza is done, every bite was scrumptious and the dough was baked to perfection; balancing softness and crunch well. The prosciutto complemented the herbs and tomato well and totes appreciated the touch of olive oil and fresh cheese. I did not regret this meal one bit and it is the ideal 'munchies' cure.

What are you all waiting for? Head down here if you are in the area or travel down if you are not and try this all round amazing experience for yourself. I put my reputation as a master reviewer for...
