We recently visited Pizza E Vino on a bustling Monday night, and let's just say it was an experience filled with highs and lows. As we walked in, the atmosphere crackled with energy, but it quickly became apparent that the restaurant was running on a skeleton crew. The seemingly endless line of diners waiting for tables highlighted how busy they were, and sadly, that meant the service suffered.
Despite the chaos, our waiter, was an absolute gem. He greeted us with a warm smile and managed to juggle multiple tables with grace and efficiency, all while keeping his cool amidst the hussle and bussle. It’s always such a pleasure to encounter someone who clearly cares about their job and provides exceptional service even when the odds are stacked against them.
Now, let’s talk about the food – specifically, the pizza, which did not disappoint. We ordered the Gambero and a Salmon and both were fantastic. The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce had a rich depth of flavor, and the ingredients tasted fresh. You could tell that they take pride in their recipes, and it’s definitely a highlight of our visit.
However, the atmosphere took a nosedive when we overheard our waiter receiving an unwarranted reprimand from the management. It was uncomfortable to witness, especially given how hard he was working under pressure. After our meal, we took a moment to mention to the manager how impressed we were with our waiter's service. Instead of appreciating our feedback, the manager responded with a snide remark disparaging Jake’s performance. It was disheartening and left a sour taste in our mouths, especially since this worker had clearly been doing his best despite the overwhelming...
Read moreMy friend and I visited this restaurant on a Monday night. The restaurant was empty which made us a little sceptical of the overall vibe of the place but we decided to give it a go. At first glance of the menu, the cost of the meals appeared to be slightly on the pricy side, however after placing our order of a few different entrees and the mixed platter, the chef came over to our table and asked us if we would be able to eat it all because she assured us that the servings were quite large. Rather than giving us the full platter, she offered to bring out the food gradually and check on us to see if we wanted more. She was right! The servings were quite large and good value for money and the food was also tasty - the garlic prawns being my favourite. We were also not charged for items on the platter that weren't served to us, because we were so full. We liked how they were able to tailor the amount of food to our appetite and that they only charged us for what we ate (even though they could've brought out the entire platter and billed us for it at full price). The total bill for two people ended up being $100, but for the amount of food that was served to us (and the quality of the food), this was more than reasonable. The staff were very friendly and we'll definitely be back, but next time we'll order a lot...
Read moreI was one of the three people at your establishment that had the arachini balls yes it was a blonde hair approximately 6 inches long and I can put a photo up of the 3 of us and not one of us has blonde hair as far as your pasta marinara cold tasteless under cooked so much so that we asked for oil salt and pepper just to add some sort of flavour. Then you accuse my friend of being a bully to one of your younger staff when all she did was give feed back if my friend was bullying your staff as a manager you should have come out the front and address the issue with us your not much of a manager hiding in the back and letting you young staff deal with a complaint I am quite happy to take this further as you have slandered my friend by calling her a bully. I find your response to my friends review an absolute disgrace. P.s I am sure you have cameras in your establishment it would be great if you go back and see that not one of us has blonde hair and maybe be even post it on line so everyone can see that...
