Burgies - Hoppers Crossing — Restaurant in Melbourne

My partner and I eat out at restaurants every weekend, burgers are our preference, and my OH MY have we had some good ones! This however, was one of the worst and most disappointing we’ve had to-date. First, they get the order wrong. Then when it does arrive, the buns are soggy and the sauce had penetrated 4cm into the bread.. if I wanted a pile of mush I would have asked for it. Cheese wasn’t even melted and both burgers were cold. This caused major confusion as they had 4 employees on that night, and only 2 other tables had customers..

Meat was not cooked through, additionally, the meat tasted like fridge and clearly left uncovered and next to other foods during refrigeration. This causes cross-contamination. All of which is a fantastic idea if your objective is to poison people, even better if that person has an autoimmune disease such as myself. Good one guys. As for the indoor seating section, reasonabley clean, but some music other than Justin Timberlake for a whole 40 minutes would have been good, another great idea.. clean the sauce bottles in the fridge. No one wants to pick up greasy, bacteria infested bottles someone else has fingered and handled while they’re eating, only to passed onto them before they eat their meal. Disgusting. Lastly, bacon. UPDATE : 27 JAN 2025 - I can officially say, I won't be having an Acai from here again. Constantly inconsistent. Today the Acai almost tasted off. The texture isn't there. Definitely gone downhill.

UPDATE 30 NOV 2024 - Myself and two other people purchased Acai about 20 mins before closing. Acai was soft and runny. Definitely no texture. Very disappointed. 2 stars for this night. -----------------‐------------------------------------ UPDATE: 10 OCT 2024 - I was greeted with the biggest smile by the server Prince who also made my Acai to perfection. Generous with the Nutella & Granola just the way I love eating my Acai. Only downside is that Burgies needs to remove that green spoon and replace it another which doesn't leave your fingers green (see photo).

I had my first Acai in a cup at Burgies last week. Generous Granola, Acai, Sauce, Bananas & Strawberries. However, unfortunately today the Acai was not Generous. Less Granola & Sauce at the bottom especially. Please train your staff with being consistent with food serving portions so that customers are getting the same experience each time. Overall, I'd like to go back again to see if I get the same portions of Acai as I did...

Been here before and the food and service was great. Popped by today for lunch and the burger buns were tough to chew, possibly old or just badly made bread. Told staff, they didn't offer compensation or to remake with different bun or apologize even. Then bought two coffees and asked for 2.5 shots in each, they gave us a half shot in each. Told them and they said they would fix it. They added shots to the same coffees, handled the lids and cracked the coffee cup lids from pulling them off, handed back a coffee cup with coffee splash stains down the sides of the cups from pouring out the previous coffee. Lid fell off when i went to drink said coffee as it was cracked and not staying on the cup. Really bad experience today, they didnt offer anything to compensate the old/bad burger buns and didnt even make new fresh coffees, just added to the incorrect ones. Probably won't go back, but I definitely won't be recommending Burgies to friends and family again after this experience. I had talked up the place before taking my family for lunch who were visiting Melbourne and I looked foolish after everything that went wrong as well as having spilled coffee all over my shirt and car because Burgies are too cheap to replace a broken...
