Mohini and Mani Indian Supermarket — Local services in Melbourne

The reason I have given this store one star is because:

The owner and the staff are ill-mannered and very rude. They lack basic customer service skills and make shopping here an unpleasant experience. On several occasions, they have been dismissive and unhelpful when I asked for assistance or had queries about products.

Most of the stock in this store is either expired or covered in mold. I have found numerous items on the shelves that are well past their expiration dates, which poses a significant health risk. Additionally, the store's hygiene standards are extremely poor, with some products visibly infested with mold.

Despite the expired stock, the owner is not willing to dispose of it and instead tries to sell it, which could cause health issues for the public. It is concerning that the owner prioritizes profit over customer safety, showing a blatant disregard for the wellbeing of the community.

When I advised the owner about this, the response was, "If you want it, buy it or someone else will. Don't waste my time." This response was not only dismissive but also highlighted the owner's complete lack of responsibility and care for the customers. This attitude further solidifies my decision to give this store a one-star rating.

Worst, Arrogant and the most doggy owner. service is worst and false Promise. I was after paan/betel leaves and had requested the owner(Raghu) for the quantity. He said the stock will come around 3:00pm you can collect anytime after that. I called him 3 times before to confirm and also requested if he could keep aside for me and happy to pay in advance. Raghu(owner) said you come and pay when you collect, we will get around 120 packets and take as much as you want. once I reached the shop he is like you dint say the quantity so I am not giving you any leaves. After calling him 3times and I confirmed everything over the phone, owner did not give the paan leaves. what a disgusting and false promise you provide to the customers. You should learn to speak in a decent manner and not show to much of arrogance. On top of it your price are expensive way to much to the other stores. Would not recommend anyone to buy...

Really expensive place. Prices are too high as compared to other indian grocery shops. I visited them for the first time and didn't had a great experience. I just wanted to get Christmas lights which I was told are upstairs so when I went upstairs one of their workers chased me up as if I was gonna steal something. It definitely wasn't a follow up for any help but a proper chase up. I could hear the dude standing at the counter (which seemed like an owner) screaming at the girl to run upstairs. This definitely made me very uncomfortable and she could have just come upstairs normally to offer help. You might wanna learn to trust the customers as that's the main key of the customer service.
