Café Galiano — Restaurant in Melbourne

I came to the restaurant aroun 9.30am on 20.2.25 and ordered a medium cappuccino extra hot with two sugars and requested that I have it served as a dine in and was given the number 8 and requested to sit at a table and would be subsequently served. But I noticed that I was served in a a take away paper cup and looked around and noticed that every other patron was served in a cup and saucer. I called for the lady at the counter and asked her as to why I had been served in a paper mug and she measured me out with other customers which I found to be a bit out of line. On request she organised the beverage to be served in a cup and saucer. Hope they can treat every customer without an attitude which can raise eyebrows. I regret to report that our experience at this establishment was far from satisfactory. The service was notably poor throughout our visit; the staff seemed utterly disinterested, lacking any semblance of warmth or basic manners—no smiles, no greetings, not even a cursory "how are you?" The wait times were excessively long. Even when our food was served (right next to us without any acknowledgment), it failed to make up for the earlier service flaws, as it was bland and unappetizing. wont be returning. I'd been a few times but i had a horrible experience today. They served me a broken up piece up caramel slice- dodgy. Why would they even cut it up. was it off someone else's plate or the floor? The display case was full of the, they could have easily given me one of those! I was charged full price and already paid for a badly presented item and the girl just laughed as she served it and took off as I was about to say I didn't want it.
