Sushi Hub Southland — Restaurant in Melbourne

I went to buy my lunch from Sushi today and was shocked at the terrible attitude of the staff working there.

I was served by a lady with a name starting with Q. She said Hi to me when I approached the counter and that was the last word she spoke. After ordering she  walked over to the payment area and just pointed at the eftpos machine and didn’t even advise me of the total cost for my food or ask if I would like anything else or if I needed any soy sauce, wasabi, napkins or chop sticks. When I said can I have some soy score she chucked a handful of soy sauce packets onto the top of the counter for me to have to collect my self. I then had to also ask for some wasabi.

While I was there waiting to order her and another staff were also so rude to another customer.

They shoved two hand rolls into a tiny containter container which squished the two handrails so much the filling was oozing out.

The lady asked if she could have a bigger container to put the hand rolls in so it wasn’t squashed and she girl rolled her eyes and just had a horrible attitude. I could see the shocked look on the other customs face as to why these staff where so incredibly rude and unhelpful.

If you want to work in customer service at least smile and be polite! I certainly won’t be going back to this...

Worst service I ever have, two ladies serve at front, the one helped us with a poker face, no interaction at all. I asked the question as how to store the sushi if we cannot finish today. She just shake head without checking. Some staff just work behind with preparing the sushi, I don’t think they have no idea how to keep the sushi overnight, I asked again as “ do we need to put into fridge or just leave them at room temperature”, the lady said we all busy with a shrug. Even I personally find a staff working behind to double check the answer, the staff also too busy to answer my question properly. Poker face with unprofessional service, I cannot believe this should be existed in a good running retail shop. I reviewed your google reviews and noted many customers complain your service but agree with the food taste. Feel sad to say bye to this sushi shop,...

Favourite sushi place! I always get the avocado brown rice which they make fresh for me and the quality is consistently amazing.
