Cafe by LaManna — Restaurant in Melbourne

Formerly a favourite spot of mine, the recent experience was marked by overpriced items of low quality, leaving me thoroughly disappointed. This establishment, which once boasted excellent coffee, food, and sweets, led me to spend $17 on a disastrous cup of coffee, a minuscule $5.5 fruit tart, and a disappointing chia pudding.

During the coffee preparation, I observed the barista. After removing the portafilter from the machine, she carelessly discarded the old coffee into the bin, gave the portafilter a negligent wipe with a yellow cloth already tainted by burnt coffee, and proceeded to make the coffee. This raises several concerns: firstly, leaving old coffee on the machine affects the taste and hygiene of the coffee; secondly, the careless wipe only exacerbated the situation with the contaminated cloth; and lastly, the dirty milk jug added to the overall unsatisfactory experience.

Considering these factors, I find it unlikely that I will return to Lamana anytime soon. I would suggest opting for a more cost-effective and satisfying option, such as grabbing a cup of coffee from a...

We went here for breakfast last week. We ordered 1 coffee to arrive before our breakfast and 2 coffees after breakfast. The breakfast arrived before our 1st coffee. I advised the waitress that we no longer wanted the 1st coffee and requested a refund. She was not pleased but eventually agreed. She discussed this with ,whom I presume was the head barista ,and they both had a little laugh. I might add we have been going to Lamanna since it first opened. The next thing the head lady came across to us and advised us the “ protocol “ of ordering 3 coffees. But boy did she have the last laugh ! We waited over 30 minutes for our 2nd coffees. I might add we go out every weekend for breakfast and have not encountered this before. The Executive Officer contacted us re our last visit - apparently our experience was used as a teaching tool. We have since returned and breakfast...

We went back to Lamanna cafe today as we enjoyed the food last time. Coffees were great and came out to our requirements extra hot. I ordered seasonal avocado very generous with avocado, eggs poached perfectly tasted great. My wife ordered Green breakfast bowl loved the brocolinni and everything tasted great. We ordered a side dish of mushrooms and enjoyed it. We were there during lunch time and definitely buzzing with people but with great atmosphere. Great service and Lamanna people...
