Just an Awful experience all round.
The ice tea that was advertised as "'delicious'' turned out to be tasteless tap water with a wedge of lemon, I have no idea how anyone can muck up iced tea. Another table left theirs untouched and another table was complaining about theirs as we left, owner seemed unconcerned.
We asked if the bagels and rolls were freshly made (not made earlier in the day) and were told they were made fresh to order then after paying I was told they had been in the fridge quite a while and bread was a bit stale but they could toast it and I declined and asked for a refund.
Bruschetta was soggy due not draining chopped tomatoes properly (try using Roma tomatoes next time and draining them).
Cirino salad was a pile of limp rocket with a couple of slices of tinned beetroot and a few tiny crumbs of fetta, unappetising and inedible.
Honest feedback was met with an argument about the quality of the food and even went as far as pulling out a box of fresh rocket from out the back (different colour to what was on the plate).
Was provided a refund for ice tea but was short changed by $5 on the refund for bagel that was never supplied and they refused to refund the salad even though we did not eat it.
All the staff seemed to be just going through the motions, tables not seen to be wiped over between customers and had to ask for food that was ordered as they had obviously forgotten.
Honestly have never had an experience that is quite this bad before and would never give them another chance even if...
Read moreCafe Cirino has a nice atmosphere. I was with a group of 10 and we were offered the courtyard just for our group which was great for privacy while enjoying the outside breeze. The menu is your basic Italian menu - nothing too special - but half of us got seafood dishes which reportedly were very tasty. I myself had the Tagliatelle bolognese and my husband had the vegetarian risotto. They were both tasty but unfortunately mine was served a bit lukewarm. Service was friendly and accommodating though I have to say there were a couple of wait staff that seemed a bit out of their depth and one didn't take down our order for a bruschetta (entrée) so we didn't end up eating any entrées (ultimately not complaining though - the mains portion sizes are quite big). A nice laid...
Read moreMy partner and I attended this cafe for some brunch. It was really lovely and what made it better was a surprise cocktail that we thought was an extremely lovely gesture. Only after I had had a few sips a waiter came up and asked me if I had ordered it at which I was confused and stated No I thought it was on the house (it was not busy). The waiter proceeded to take the drink away with no explanation or apology for a mistake that happened on their behalf. Had they of acknowledged their own mistake and left the drink this review would of been quite different but the poor customer service leaves us with not wanting to return to this cafe. Who takes away an already half...
