Not usually one for reviews but I want to say something about the experience I had. This morning I popped in to Cannoli & Co which was empty bar 1 seated customer. This contrasted to a bustling shop a few doors down, which I thought was a plus as I was in need of quick service. Unfortunately, the experience I had gave a new perspective to why they were so quiet.
I ordered 1x ham and cheese croissant, paid and stepped outside. Checked the price I paid for the croissant on my phoneā¦$12! Stepped back inside to check I hadnāt been charged incorrectly (not even Lune charged $12?!) and told abruptly that $12 is correct. Ok sure, I could have asked before ordering (price not on the cabinet). I step outside to wait and I notice the menu on the shop front.. $10 for a ham and cheese croissant. I decide I will mention the discrepancy to the staff, I do and the person I presume is the owner barks that the menu is wrong and orders staff to march to the front door and strip down the menu immediately and to give me the $2. Extremely abrupt and made me feel like I was being difficult. Im not going to say what anyone should or shouldnāt do when considering visiting this cafe.. but I donāt feel the value is there for a $12 ham and cheese croissant from both a dollar cost and and experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely disgusting. Horrible service, no water upon arrival, no one telling us if we order at the counter or if itās table service. I ordered a freshly squeezed juice with apple, orange, ginger and spinach, and there was so much ginger it was spicy my mother couldnāt even drink it. But I didnāt say anything because people make mistakes. Iām vegan, so upon looking at the menu I thought the breakfast bruschetta with tomato, avocado, gluten free bread and olive crumble looked nice, only to have it served 35 minutes later with feta on top and butter on the bread that was not mentioned on the menu. When my mother went to pay, the owner was horribly rude, charging my mother $18 for the meal, when in the many it says $18 with eggs, upon pointing this out to the owner he scoffs that he will then charge $16 instead, continuously being rude and stating āI have been here 24 years and I will charge what I want to chargeā and then ending the conversation by calling my mother āBroadmeadowsā. Absolutely disgusting experience, never go to this place as it was a horrible feeling as customers and to witness my mother being treated like she was- as a paying customer!! I would rate 0 stars...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNo matter what the weather is, Iām always down for a hot beverage and some sweets ā and cannoli & co definitely met these cravings! They are an Italian owned and operated cafe, serving traditional Sicilian cannoli, hot coffee & fresh food.
We tried their: Drinks ā $5 a mug āļø hot chocolate āļø mocha Cannoli ā $5 each āļø ricotta āļø chocolate custard Panini ā $12 š„ roast chicken š„Æ smoked salmon bagel
The little cafe was very comfy, and I love their decor and aesthetic. Their hot chocolate was very rich and decadent, and their cannolis had a crispy shell and were filled so generously with the fresh and creamy filling. I love how they have so much options on their menu, from savoury pies and quiches, to your sandwiches and then to your sweets like your cannoli and gelato! Overall it was not bad, I think itās a cute cosy cafe but the customer service could be slightly improved on. We ordered chicken schnitzel but I assume what was brought out wasnāt that⦠and was the...
