Had excellent experience. The coffee was one of the best I've had. I ordered iced mocha, and my friends got mocha and long black. We all loved our respective drinks. We also got ham and cheese toasties and a grain salad and they were also pretty good and fresh. The staff was really helpful and friendly. We wanted to sit in the courtyard and they were happy to clean and set up a table to accommodate us even though there were seats available inside. The place doesn't look modern or has the Cafe vibe that most other Cafes in Melbourne have but whatever look and feel they're going for really works. Highly recommended. Would definitely go again.

I think this cafe is two shops??? One side is a takeaway shop and you order on this side and the other building is where you sit. We went on a Sunday- warning, this strip is super hectic. They sell a heap of takeaway coffee so there are people standing and waiting everywhere. (Thought you’d like a heads up incase you are fragile like I was😂). Considering how busy they were they were super quick and everything was delicious. I just saw they have seating out back on their photos here, if they allow dogs in the back area, I’ll def go sit out the back next time.

First time there - freshly squeezed orange juice was a bit disappointing, but eggs benedict and coffee were OK. Unusual two-shopfront layout, with ordering on one side, internal seating and courtyard on the other side, and external seating out front on the street. Service could have been better, such as not asking whether I wanted ham or bacon with my eggs, and I had to ask after my mug of coffee, albeit that I did ask for it to be served later. Very popular with the locals, though - plenty of customers, particularly sitting out front on the street.

TLDR: Inaccessible. Average coffee. Complacent staff.

The coffee was not awful, but it wasn't awesome either. At first, they forgot I have them my reusable coffee cup and handed me a disposable cup of coffee. This is a harmless mistake that wouldn't warrant a low star rating on its own. They apologised and poured my coffee into my reusable cup and offered to heat it if it was not hot enough after the transfer. Actually, the coffee was super hot, almost tasted burnt. Again, they were busy so I would even forgive that mistake.

But it was those two things plus the following that caused me to give a low star rating. They were blasting very loud music outside the store front which made waiting for my coffee a very stressful experience. It was unbearably loud, even standing a few shops down with ear plugs. I would label this cafe inaccessible because, besides being inaccessible for wheelchair users due to the step at the entrance, it's also inaccessible for Autistic people like me who have sensory needs.

In short, my overall experience as a...

If I could put 0 star I would! Extremely expensive $4.5 for a babyccino , unprofessional/I respectful staff. Mediocre over all at best. They charged me $12 more for some reason asked me to go back to their place (20 min drive for me) to get a refund. When I came back they dismissed me, treated me like I was at fault, no apologies. Then they gave me $10 and disregarded me very quickly. I realised this was still not adding up. Came back and they asked me to come back another time as they are busy. Then finally one of the young staff took 1 min to explain in details what’s article costed what and they indeed needed to give me $2. They could not even calculate correctly I had to tell them it is 2 not 1dollars needed. I was chocked by the lack of respect and customer service. I will never go back there again and recommend you go to the coffee next door that are way...

We just moved to malvern and tried this joint out for takeout lunch today and were staggered. My partner ordered a small latte and two sandwiches. Already made Ham and cheese Untoasted and a Vegetarian on sourdough with cheese - she was charged $25.10!!! Yep. And made to wait over 10 mins with hardly any other customers about. She was asked if she wanted eggplant or zucchini and none were actually put in the sandwich. Staff were acting a bit odd as well and had a strange attitude. Odd looks etc. we have no idea what the deal is but we won’t be going back and have shared our experience with friends. Shame coz the coffee was great but at $25 for two sandies and a small latte it better be hey? More expensive than melb CBD and weird...
