Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Melbourne

Massively underrated cheap eats in Fitzroy. I've tested this place a few times now, and damn, their charcoal chooks are pretty good. Unlike a lot of other chicken shops, they actually use charcoal, and boy are their birds delicious.

I've had a wrap and a full chicken, the wrap was piping hot and juicy, that charcoal flavour penetrates right through the meat. Their full birds absolutely dance all over Coles, so support a local business and go here instead.

It wasn't even late, but it took me a few attempts to get a full bird, as they often sell out.

Got half a charcoal chicken and 2 pieces of chicken to go. Walked for 30-40 minutes home and prepared some potato salad for another 30 minutes, had the chicken and they were still super good. I I could tell the moment i saw the skin on that charcoal chicken (the way it glistened and looked crispy at the same time, heavily seasoned with herbs and spices) that it would be something special. Today, I enjoyed some beautiful charcoal chicken. I ordered the 1/4 Chicken, Chips, and Salad Combo. The place is clean and comfortable with plenty of seats and tables, inside and outside to sit and enjoy your meal. The staff are friendly, polite, and welcoming. I found the portion size to be generous, and the prices are great. This place does seem to be popular. The chicken was fresh and tasty. The chips were well seasoned and cooked in clean oil.
