Hello

My boyfriend and I came here for a quick dinner as we heard great reviews and word of mouth however, we were sooo disappointed.

I am pescatarian and the staff seemed to have trouble in helping us navigate the menu.

We were not able to order the lobster ramen with no chicken or no pork and still had to add $5 for the lobster so we chose to get the vegan ramen.

We also ordered the ocean trout with wasabi mayo, hiroshimayaki and furikake chips.

First of all, the furikake chips were too salty and would have been better just plain fries ocean trout was covered in mayonnaise and swimming in a pool of vinegar :( for $14 a little effort in flavour /presentation would have been appreciated the hiroshimayaki was cold in the middle and lukewarm on the outside - i couldn’t eat this as I was afraid to get food poisoning. also just bad flavours (sorry) the vegan ramen was also very salty, cold, no depth, the broth was thick and overall just bad flavour. We couldn’t finish it.

Tbh we couldn’t finish any of our food - quite a disappointment considering our meal was over $70

I don’t often leave reviews or negative experiences but it felt as if the staff did not really mind whether or not we actually enjoyed our meal....

Underwhelming ramen 😔 We were really excited to try the newest ramen restaurant in the neighbourhood, but didn't feel the food was that great - especially compared to nearby Shop Ramen and Gogyo.

We ordered the classic shio and truffle ramen, and croquette.

Minimal toppings on ramen (cha shu, half egg, Nori sheet). The cha shu was dry and overcooked - you can see it in the photos. Egg was lovely though.

Soup was not bad and mine was full of truffle flavour. But the broth was lacking that deep flavour I'm used to at other ramen places. I know it's not tonkotsu, so I'm just comparing it to other chicken based ramen I've tried. Noodles were a bit overcooked.

Croquette was nicely deep fried and the filling was good.

When you walk into the restaurant, it feels like a casual eatery (mostly single-facing bench tables), so you'd expect the prices to reflect that. But it doesn't. Honestly it's not a bad bowl of ramen, but just not worth it at the current...

Best Raman This bowl of Black Truffle Pork & Chicken Ramen completely blew me away! The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful — one sip and I was hooked. It’s deeply umami without being overpowering, and every element complements the next beautifully.

The noodles have a great texture — firm and springy — and they soak up the broth perfectly without becoming soggy. I could honestly eat them forever without getting tired of the taste.

The pork is a standout: tender with just the right amount of sear and fat, adding richness without feeling greasy. It balances the dish beautifully. The chicken also pairs wonderfully with the broth, adding a soft, juicy bite that works in harmony with the truffle aroma.

Overall, it’s a perfectly balanced, delicious bowl of ramen — comforting, layered, and full of flavor. Highly recommended if you’re a fan of bold, savory ramen with a...

Whilst the restaurant itself has charm, complete with tight bench seating that offers an authentic ramen bar feel, and the staff are super friendly, and the food comes quick. This is really a review of one dish, the Coriander Chili ramen is a stunning dish. I suspect the flavour profile will be a bit like marmite to some, not in taste but in division of the lovers and haters, but you could pour that soup into my cofin and I'd climb in early to drink it. The noodles are the perfect semi-aldente texture, the eggs yolk soft, the slices of pork fatty enough to ooze flavour and the spice level perfectly balanced to compliment and not dominate the dish. The experience and sides (Karaage chicken) are great, but that ramen dish kicked the arse of any others I have had on Smiths Street or any other street. Go before it's ruined by a classic Melbourne queue.
