Being a qualified chef I have a few comments regarding the food.
Went here with my partner for our date day. While the coffee and Belgian Hot Chocolate was good and the atmosphere is quite lovely. There are some notes on the food I'd like to make. I ordered the Breakfast Brioche Roll. My partner ordered the Farmers Breakfast
The portion to price is not worth it. $18 is a little too steep for a small portioned Eggs Benedict. To which I have more points.
The hollandaise sauce was not that at all. It was sour and made me pull a face, I was unsure if my partner should keep eating it. I questioned them if the chef makes the sauce. To which they told me it's bought pre packaged. So I asked why it tastes sour, I know it shouldn't taste the way it did. So hearing it's a pre packaged sauce I was disgusted. Hollandaise is supposed to be rich and creamy. Not flat and sour.
The eggs were a little overcooked and nothing else was seasoned correctly.
The staff was lovely to some extent. Very nice and welcoming. I found it nice they checked with the chefs about my issue with the sauce. However it would have been nice if they possibly made another one just in case it was bad.
The brioche roll was quite tasty. But it did become a small mess as the bun got soggy from the grease of the bacon.
I would say all up that it's a good place to try out for a date. However I don't feel it's worthy enough to go back to.
Thank you for reading.
And thank you to the staff for your patience and...

No hint of customer service from any of the four staff members out the front. Bitchy comments and obvious in-fighting going on between the staff, with no effort made to shield the customers from their issues. The girl serving was in such a hurry to get the orders through the register that she didn't even look up at me when she took my order, let alone a smile; she also put my order through so quickly that she missed the last part of it and I had to ask that it be added, which appeared to be a massive inconvenience to her. I then thought the barista was going to lecture me when I failed to pick my coffee up in the 0.35 seconds she'd obviously allowed, and when I attempted to confirm that I was picking up my soy Capp, and not someone else's coffee, she seemed almost offended and just stared at me. Come on people, you make coffee and serve customers. Customer service forms a large part of your job - it's not that hard. Just smile and be pleasant. Your coffee is good, but it's...
Read moreVisited this cafe for breakfast this morning after being highly recommended, ordered the Atlantic, however asked for no salmon and spinach instead. Also ordered a strong soy latte. When the waitress finally brought my coffee over she said skinny latte, in which I asked is it soy? She blatantly lied to my face and said yes. You could see the hesitation in her face. Tasted the difference after the first sip. Then, my meal finally came out after my friend had already finished hers. Salmon on the bread and spinach on the side. I told the waitress I asked for no salmon. She just looked at me and I said I'd pick it off, to save the argument and having to wait for a new one. She blankly stared at me and said 'okay'. No apology or form of compensation from any staff. The kitchen staff were at no fault however I have never seen a more poorly run cafe with staff that have absolutely no idea what they're doing. The three staff members that I had contact with could definitely do with the extra training, as well as customer service skills. Will be giving this place a wide birth...
