Basically, everything was wrong with this place from the moment we walked in. We went out to celebrate my mother’s birthday with a family of five adults. We went to the counter and they couldn’t find the booking under our name. The maître d came over and tried to put the blame on us, saying that we mustn’t have booked correctly. We were adamant that we did and even showed a confirmation message that we had indeed booked in. He huffed at us. After further discussion, he hurried us over to a table.
We then weren’t provided with any menus. My mother then went up to get the menus herself. Then, after waiting a long time, my mother had to go up to get the attention of a waitress so that we could order. My mother was already heightened at this point and wanted to leave. I convinced her to stay in the hopes that all the problems were now sorted that we had finally ordered.
We waited FIFTY minutes for the entrees to come out. Our drinks that we ordered at the same time came after the entrees. Now, this was on a relatively busy evening, but the restaurant was not full and waiting that long for entrees irrespective of the restaurant's patronage was unacceptable. It then took another FORTY minutes for the mains to come out. And not only that, one of us did not receive her main meal.
My mother went up to complain to the maître d; she had simply had enough. The maître d screamed at and abused my mother in front of other patrons who were staring at them. I wished I had taken a video of it; it was absolutely vile behaviour towards my mother. The restaurant again put the blame on us, claiming we were being unreasonable and what would we expect on such a busy night! My mother was almost in tears while the rest of us finished our meals.
The same maître d took our payment for what was definitely not worth it for the quality of food and service expected, and did not thank us or say any word to us as we paid for the most disgusting experience. It ruined my mother’s birthday.

The staff lacked customer service, their body language and how they went about their business came across as though they are only there to treat each other (own staff) nicely but when it involves a customer, good luck trying to get a polite smile or gesture. Overall lacked in professionalism in their tone and manner.
If there was an option of zero-stars, I would have chosen it. Good luck to anyone who eats here. If you're looking for quality and a great time with your family, do yourselves a favour and go...
Read moreThe food wasn't great. We couldn't finish the Mongolian beef (it was too sweet). I thought I will bring it back and try to adjust the taste abit myself. We asked for a takeaway box and they asked for 50cents for the box. Not that 50cents is huge but we just spent almost $80 and they can't give us a box which cost them maybe only 10cents? We paid of course.. but my husband just gave a feedback that they could have provided a service to customer especially if the customer has spent that much at the restaurant. What is most annoying is the staff's reply. She told my husband "if you go to Coles, they charge you for bag too." Please! Do not compare yourself to Coles, because Coles would allow me to walk out with the packages for my items even if I don't buy a bag. And Coles only charged me 15 cents for a much bigger receptacle. And I strongly believe that the staff at Coles would show more understanding and help me understand the rationale behind charging that 15cents than to just tell me about what I will be made to pay at another shop. So.. for this restaurant, they would either throw out food or make the customer pay more if they want to take away the food which they can't finish. We walked out and we told ourselves we are not going back there again. There are plenty more restaurants that serve better food and provide much much better service. E.g. Dunpling Chef.
