Choclatte — Restaurant in Melbourne

While waiting for my coffee I had to witness the older male manager berate the young worker behind the counter. Telling him off for making a mistake, continuing to make mistakes, and mistakes make me angry and you don't want to make me angry. Who does this to young staff? especially in front of the customer? I couldn't work out if it was his son or just a worker, whatever the relationship, it should never happen, to me it looked like and is bullying. I mentioned to the other female staff member, is he always like this? she didn't even want to comment.

After he Finnished his tirade at the late teenage staff member, he came over to make my coffee. I should have asked for my money back, I didn't want his coffee. I tried to educate him, stating it's not good to speak to his young staff like that, especially in ear shot of the customer. He then asked if it offending me in a smart approach and I replied it did and it's not right to treat staff like that, even if the poor kid made a mistake. I then had to stand there as he made my coffee! 🥺 He then slide the coffee over the counter stating I hope the rest of your day gets better, what a clown!

I won't return and I hope the worker tells his folks, no one needs that attitude at work!

And I did not enjoy the $6...

Choclatte has the BEST Chocolate Milkshake I’ve tasted to date in Melbourne, Australia.

I took my favourite girl here some Awesome Appetites before dropping her off to work.

We found this Cafe in Camberwell by chance as we were rushing with hunger to find something decent to eat—and we had less than 30-minutes.

We chose to dine-in at Choclatte where we ordered:

1. Noah’s Apple Juice;

2. Large Chocolate Milkshake;

3. Egg & Bacon Brioche;

4. Chicken & Mushroom Filo.

The extra Tomato Relish I got for my Chicken & Mushroom Filo cost an extra 50 cents.

Our Awesome Appetites came out very quick which gave us time to take some quick photos and enjoy our meal.

And then we got to meet the owner who was super friendly before dropping off my favourite girl at work around the corner.

I would recommend Choclatte if you’re looking to have some Cafe styled Awesome Appetites in Camberwell.

And I would really suggest you try their Large Chocolate Milkshake because I’d love to hear your opinion…

One of the saddest, humiliating experiences I've ever had in a cafe: We sat outside, ordered coffee and sandwiches. Soon after, a lady, very rudely, told us we were not allowed to bring food from outside. A fair requirement, but I argued that both me and my wife were buying food and coffee from them, and the food from outside was to my son who has a disability and has a very strict diet.

To which the staff lady told us our son was welcome to sit on the walkpath, while eating. Yes.

As a protest, the three of us sat on the walkpath, to which the lady laughed and nodded her head. Another staff member apologised and tried to reinforce how unfair it was... TO BRING FOOD FROM OUTSIDE. I understand his point of view, yes, many people may want to abuse their facilities but that was not the case. I just agreed to stay - eat sitting on the ground - because my wife insisted.

I will never land my feet on a place that is inflexible towards their clientele needs and doesn't think twice before...
