Food is good but service was TERRIBLE! Discrimination against single diner!
Came on 27 Jun at around 1pm, the tables in the restaurant was widely spaced according to the regulation. Pretty excited to try the food as the rating was rather high.
To my surprise, the lady (alone) infront of me was told that there is no space and left. I was told the same by the middle eastern staff but bcoz I would really want to try out the food, I asked if I could do take away.
During that time, 3 separate table of diners were making their payment at the cashier and I asked if I could take any of their tables as there are a couple of empty tables but I was told by the same middle eastern staff “no, they are reserved”
While looking at the menu, a couple arrived and the staff asked if they have got any reservations made but they replied “no”. I was shocked when they were offered the seats. I asked why I am not being offered the seats since I came before them and he told me to wait and he will try find me a seat.
I waited and asked if I could take those empty tables behind and he continued to ask me to wait. He asked if I am ready to order. I replied “yes” and he insisted I order from the cashier before he gave me a seat.
At this point, I was feeling uncomfortable as other diner doesn’t have to place their order first before getting a seat and it seems like I was being discriminated in some ways.
I insisted to have a seat first before I order and he finally gave me a table that was emptied since the start of the whole incident. However, he chased after my order before even setting up the table and getting a drink for me.
I placed my order but water was not served. Customers whom arrived after me got their water and seats without any prob.
I observed the pattern and realised that probably bcoz I was alone and so is the lady before me, that’s why he is reluctant to seat us.
I personally feel that food is linked to service. Good experience for customer will work wonders in the long run from word of mouth and customer...

We both started with a nice cold glass of Moscato from Wild One Estate to kickstart the night. While perusing the long list of options on the menu a few dishes caught our eye; the Crispy Pork Bao, Braised Wagyu Beef Brisket Dumplings and the Flat Rice Noodles.
The Something Small items from the menu, Crispy Pork Bao and the Braised Wagyu Beef Brisket dumplings were ordered, served and consumed in a matter of minutes! The Bao were little but were so jam packed full of flavour. They weren’t too spicy however had just enough tang to them. The pickled cucumber was very delicious. Each bao left us licking our fingers wanting more!
Next up was the Wagyu Beef Dumplings. Now these dumplings (for me personally) would be up there with some of the best dumplings there is to try in Melbourne. Absolutely loved them. They were so juicy and full of flavour. However, we made the rookie mistake of only ordering 5 of them between us, should have ordered at least 15 each!
We then wanted Something More, we shared the Flat Rice Noodle which consisted of pieces of crispy tofu, dried turnip, bean shoots, red capsicum, mushrooms, wilted spinach and mushroom katsu. All ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection. The deep fried mushrooms were a delectable focus point of the dish.
A big thank you to the staff after being so accommodating of my Fish/Crustacean allergy and advising us which meals would be best to try.

As we walked in, we were immediately shown to our table near the front. We admired the decor of the venue which had a gorgeous mural located directly above the kitchen/bar area. We ordered the Roast Barramundi, Rare Roast Jungle Beef, Thai Rare Beef and the Slow Cooked Wagyu Beef Brisket. For drinks, we ordered two coffees.
The Barramundi was delicious. The fish was cooked very well and I really loved the Green Curry! The dish was served with Chinese broccoli, snake bean, peppercorn and bell pepper. The ingredients blended beautifully together and overall it was a very satisfying dish.
The Rare Roast Jungle Beef was delicious The meat was nice and tender and went very well with the cauliflower and shiitake mushrooms. It was also a very generous serving. The Thai Rare Beef had a few overlapping ingredients with the Jungle Beef but tasted completely different! The nouc cham was mouth-watering and went so beautifully with the rest of the dish.
Our favourite dish was definitely the Wagyu Beef Brisket. The meal was served with cucumber pickles, celeriac remoulade and mayo. The burger was packed with flavour and simply melted in my mouth. Sweet potato wedges were also served with the dish and they were hot, crunchy and fluffy inside.
