Overall an excellent experience. Amazing food, sensational service and pleasant ambiance.

Started with two amazing entrees, the chorizo and mozzarella arancini and the spinach and ricotta tortellini. Both delicious classics. The arancini was light and crisp. The tortellini was delicious and well flavoured.

The mains we had the pumpkin risotto, spaghetti marinara and the pappardelle mistero, with a side of hand cut potatoes. The pumpkin risotto had a delicious sweet taste, fun textures and was nice and creamy. The marinara was delicious, with perfectly cooked mussels and prawns. Unfortunately I wasn't a huge fan of the mistero as the curry had a slight raw bitterness to it. Perhaps a touch of coconut cream and some crispy curry leaves would help to eliminate some of the raw bitterness. The potato sides are deceptively simple. Amazing crunch, delicious flavour, especially when you squeeze out the roasted garlic and spread it on the potato. Highly recommend ordering this side dish.

For dessert we had the sticky date pudding and chocolate souffle. The sticky date pudding was rich, buttery and decadent. The chocolate souffle was amazingly light, well balanced in flavour and was cut through with the amazing vanilla bean ice cream.

Apart from the food, our waiter was amazing and perhaps it was one of the best service I have ever received from a restaurant experience in a long time. Very accommodating, attentive and hospitable.

Highly recommend for a...

This was undoubtedly one of the most disappointing meals we have ever had. The muscles were almost nonexistent in size and were too salty. The salmon entree salad consisted of thin slices of salmon that would not have amounted to barely half a fillet, and sat on a mound of spinach totally drenched in a mayonnaise. Another at our table had the spaghetti Marinara. The prawns were over cooked and the flavour of this extremely ordinary. We also had the veal dish which was at best reasonable in flavour, hardly medallions, and were similar to cooked bacon in appearance. The calamari was chewy and presented crumbed, looking like the frozen chicken tenders you buy at coles..zero finesse and flavour, if any, overwhelmed by the breadcrumbs. The deserts we shared were awful. The crepes were like rubber in texture and flavour the strawberries cold and uninteresting. The ‘toffee’ like baskets the ice cream came in were particularly awful in their ‘pre made’ lack of flavour and appearance. The one star given is for the polite young staff who were very attentive. I should add, the place became increasingly colder as our ‘time limit’ became imminent! Not sure if this was intentional but it sure felt that way. With all the magnificent restaurants we have here in Melbourne, so many of which we have been fortunate Enough to experience, this will never be added to our list of...

21-4-22 FIORELLI Restaurant – Yes, Yes, Yes!!! When visiting Melbourne from the country for an unexpected short stay there are suddenly many decisions to make. To be able to find online a menu that appealed and was within walking distance of our accommodation seemed a ‘good’ discovery. In reality it was a ‘super, great’ discovery. The Homemade gnocchi (potato not pumpkin) with olives, made the venue decision, sight unseen. Fiorelli Restaurant was everything we hoped for, beginning with a warm friendly interaction as we passed a second time and decided to make a reservation before they opened. The building and decor were appealing, leading one to expect quality, and quality abounded- attentive friendly, high standard of service, high quality food with a WOW factor flavour, busy bustling atmosphere, yet a calmness exuded from the service staff. Looking around at the other diners there was a broad variety of couples, apparent groups of friends, and obvious families and I was struck by the thought that this restaurant suited all manner of age groups and dinning purposes/occasions. 22-4-2022 Well worth a second visit - two consecutive nights. Staff very obliging, opportunity to try different dishes that were of the same high standard as the previous night, and ohhh !!! the Arancini was...

Good Italian in a perfect location for before or after the cinema (across the road) in Camberwell. We dined as a group of 6 and got friendly attentive service from a waiting team who were knowledgeable about their food and drinks menu. Food wise I enjoyed the crumbed veal. I had been craving something like this all week and wasn’t disappointed. My mussels entree was sadly not as enjoyable as the broth was super salty for my taste so I wasn’t rewarded with a flavoursome finale to my mussel scooping. Others in the table enjoyed their bruschetta and arancini combo for entree. We had a good Italian wine and the cocktails looks spectacular. Others on the table enjoyed the seafood fettuccine, pumpkin risotto, and at least a couple of good steaks. We toyed with the idea of a chocolate soufflé but decided on the lemon tart. The tart was delicious but then we saw the chocolate soufflé being brought out for another table and were filled with FOMO.

I came with high expectations given the rating and the reviews but honestly... It was just ok. Calamari: bit too chewy and under-seasoned. Chorizo mozzarella arancini: texture of both exterior and interior was perfect. Can't fault this one! Chicken saltimbocca: chicken was dry. The texture and taste of the risotto was pretty good. Spaghetti marinara: pasta was al dante and the amount of seafood was generous which was great but the flavour just wasn't there. Veal medallion: wasn't a medallion at all - just paper thin slices of meat. The sauce was very thin too. Chocolate soufflé: height was fantastic and the wobble was there. Slightly on the bland side and not sweet enough. Coconut Panna Cotta: Smooth and delicate, perfectly paired with the crunchy elements. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but just not great.. especially considering the price. Service was excellent - very attentive and friendly. Lovely ambience too.
