✨ Lovely brunch spot in Collingwood 💛

CITY SAINTS is a fantastic place for brunch – great coffee, delicious food, and a beautiful, atmospheric setting tucked away in a quiet laneway. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was calm and welcoming.

I asked for a dish without bread but ended up with quite a bit of it - and discovered a unique and tasty combo: sweet onion jam paired with a creamy spread. I’m not exactly sure what it was, but it was delicious and full of flavor.

One small note: while the base dishes are quite affordable, $7 for a single extra item (like half an avocado) feels a bit excessive. It might be more balanced to slightly increase the base prices and offer common additions at a lower cost - say, $3-$4 - so the pricing feels more natural and less overwhelming.

Overall, a great experience and definitely...

I believe this is the new coffee mecca of Melbourne.

A place where coffee nerds will love, A place where the barista's passion shines,
A place that knows how to serve coffee with the philosophy and meaning behind it.

We tried two different filters, a batch brew &espresso. What stood out was how the barista served the milder filter coffee first to us ,and only after confirming that we finished it, did they serve the stronger one. This attention to detail felt like being in a fine dining restaurant. This place is where you can enjoy specialty coffee that satisfies both filter and espresso lovers(though we didn’t try white coffee but no doubt) They also introduce a wide range of high-quality international roasters as well as lesser-known local roasters. This place is already a...

The café is relatively small, with three square tables and a long communal table, creating a cozy atmosphere.

What really stands out is the friendliness of the staff. The long black was excellent; rich, not watery at all.

I initially ordered a long black and an omelette but was mistakenly served a sandwich instead. Thinking I had ordered wrong, I went ahead and ate it. Later, when the correct dish arrived, we realised the mix-up. The staff apologised profusely and even compensated me for the mistake, which was such a kind gesture. Kudos to them for their professionalism and warmth.

Would definitely come back if I’m...

Excellent coffee and pastry. Got a Colombian washed filter - both the beans and the execution are top notch. Clean and aromatic. The carrot cake and brownie are absolute joy to have. You can really tell that they are made with quality ingredients and care. Love how the nuts are caramelised beforehand. I am amused by all the details. Dennis and Martin are really friendly and knowledgeable - really nice to have a chat with them and learn more about the coffee scene in Australia. A must-try coffee shop in Melbourne!
