We arrived on time, were told where to go sit at the booth and that menus would be bought to us shortly. They weren't.. hubby went to go and get them after about 10 minutes or so. We had queried the kids eat free night, which was advertised online as monday night. Only to be told it wasn't and they can't change it off google search. So we ordered meals. Kids food came out, nuggets tasted bizarre.. the texture was odd too. Lemonade had to be exchanged as it was plain soda water. Our meals came out over half an hour after ordering (two basic pastas) the kids had already finished eating. Table near us who ordered after us (also pasta) got theirs before we did. Hubby's meal looked senior sized, portion was lacking. The chicken and mushroom gnocchi was bland. Chicken tasted like it was tinned. Gnocchi was gritty. Very average service and food tonight unfortunately. Hubby then took our little one to the toilet, only to discover blood in the bathroom which he reported to reception. Was a very average experience to say the least and won't be returning in a hurry.

Cheers for your response guys, but we did infact address our concerns on the night, and again in this review. I've read enough reviews across social media and google, as well as via my own experience, to see that the menu is is very hit and miss. We know now that kids eat free on Sundays. Unfortunately this was still found advertised online for Mondays, which we showed staff and received differing responses. We were also told we weren't the only ones who've found the same thing to be confusing. I feel this really needs to be addressed at your end. Cleanliness of the bathrooms, staff attitudes and efficiency, portions sizes, meal quality, as well as information on your sites, aren't really in my hands. Read moreI frequent The club at least twice a week.The staff at the bowling club are usually very nice. The meals in the bistro have been very good. In the Dome bar there has been a coffee and cake deal for $10 or $9.50 for members which is great. However on one occasion there were no cakes?? Unfortunately the baked goods, ( primarily cakes ) are often left in the display cabinet too long. This results is the cream going hard and of course the cake becoming very dry making it inedible. This has happened on four occasions in recent times. The coffee and cake deal has now been withdrawn which is disappointing. My friend and I had the chocolate cake with the senior lunch, the cake was very dry and we were unable to eat it. We were expecting to have a piece of the cakes that were on display ( even if it was a small piece ) rather than cake that looked like it was frozen Sarah Lee cake. My family decided to take me to the Mother’s Day brunch. The hot food looked like it had been sitting out for a very long time. There were only two types of cereals, cornflakes and milk soaked oats. There was no Yoghurt at all. The cantaloupe and honeydew melon were tasteless. We were very disappointed when we had to buy our teas and coffees on top of the breakfast! I have written privately to the CEO of the club with the above feedback before I’ve made it public. However the response I received was very negative and dismissive. None of the concerns I have were acknowledged and definitely not addressed. I am not the only one who has had similar concerns in the community about the club. Food was bland here at Club Sunbury and one of the wait staff twice thought it was appropriate to prove she was right when she got our order wrong (we didn’t even mind but she kept yelling at us) If it’s wrong just fix it there is no need to berate us and say things like you can prove what we ordered and start saying really loud what we said when we ordered. There was no manager or supervisor anywhere to help and she just kept coming up to us and telling us that we were wrong.
Tried to complain but got called a bully by the manager via email a few days later all because we told her to go away and get a different waitress. Never had this treatment even at a fast food place. Wont be going back. I’m sure they will reply to this with something that fits their narrative and makes them look like they did nothing wrong.
