Rude, surly attitude from the guy working on 15/05 was appalling. It was our first visit to the store, so we were taking our time looking at the menu and asking a few questions which he was getting annoyed at (there were no other customers in the store at all so we weren't holding up a queue). When we ordered out meals, he asked 'anything else' to which we ordered our drinks, then he gave us a big annoyed SIGH and asked again 'anything else?!' and we ordered some other extras, to which he gave us an even more annoyed 'ANYTHING ELSE?'. Is this business doing so well you can actually afford to be this rude to customers?

The completely rude attitude and lack of customer service I could have ignored if the food was excellent;

The food - the meals actually TASTED great, however parts of the food were stone cold and other parts nuclear hot so it wasn't enjoyable at all. I'm not sure if we were given poorly microwaved food or we were given half fresh food and half refrigerated leftovers and just had the microwaved jus poured over the top. The gravy we ordered that came as a side seemed like it was just corn starch and water, it thick grey and flavourless, on top of this the gravy was stone cold, and when we asked for it to be heated we got more annoyed attitude from the staff, no apology and when it was given back to us it was only luke warm.

The in house made kombucha was great.

I'm not sure if management has changed recently, as part of the food quality is great, but things being served cold along with rude customer service makes one not want to return

EDIT: Responding to the owner feedback - If a microwave wasn't in use then however the food is being reheated isn't being done correctly, and if nothing is being reheated, the hot food is not being kept hot, sections of the food were cold, not just luke warm, cold.

If you don't own a microwave I'm very impressed that staff were able to make the gravy warmer without taking it out of the bowl it was served in, and return it to the table extremely quickly.

Hopefully it was just a one off, I'll give it another shot in the future and update the...

Just took the family for a meal out, turned out to be disastrous! Think we got ripped off too. I spent $83 for 2 burgers, chips, one chicken meal and the skirt steak with some drinks! The food apart from the chips was served cold. Cold vegetables, cold steak and lukewarm chicken! The steak listed under hot food menu was char-grilled skirt steak. It was served almost raw and cold. The cook said it was meant to be served cold and rare, I said it doesn't say that on the menu. So he recooked it to medium. My sons ordered the beef burgers, all was okay until we looked closer at the beef pattie, red raw on the inside, not cooked properly at all. We left shortly after with plates still full, i hope you take notice of that and ask yourself why? We will be lucky to see out the night without food poisoning after this experience. Such a shame as i was excited to take my family here as i had been having great lunch meals from this place recently, although totally different chef, seems like that could be the problem. The chef on tonight clearly did not know how to cook in my opinion, and if you're going to do this job, try showing up considering how your sweaty appearance looks to customer! Awful night...

We ordered: 🍴Roast chicken & gravy 🍴Roast beetroot 🍴Chips 🍴Charred salsa

Coming back after almost a year. Unfortunately, the quality of chooks wasn’t the same as we remember it. We were served chicken with pale, floppy skin, yet there were a few burned spots here and there. While the gravy tasted decent, it had a soup-like consistency. It seems that the chicken isn’t allowed to roast properly to get a golden crispy skin. As we were eating, we noticed a tray of freshly roasted chooks looking golden brown… it appears that there are inconsistencies in the roasting process. Beetroots had a sweet, tangy taste and the texture was slightly al dente. We received a generous portion. Chips were seasoned well, had a crunchy exterior and moist and soft centre and they paired nicely with the charred salsa.

I believe it must have been the manager/owner taking our order and the customer service we received, it was quite disappointing. We were rushed to order even though there were not many people waiting and he was huffing and puffing with every question we asked. Not sure why would anyone be serving customers with an annoyed attitude…🤔
