● March 2024 ● 2 stars 🌟 🌟 It's a shame that we didn't have a good experience at Triakosia. We were looking forward to good authentic Greek food. We ordered 3 dirfferent Souvlaki, chicken, pork and lamb. Chips and pita were good but meat was dry and lack of flavor. The 3 cheeses were okay. Service was average, not overly impressed. I got up to get water as we weren't served any when we sat down. I thought it was self-service but the lady waitress came to change our empty bottle with new one. Thank you. Chicken Souvlaki 🐔 was too tangy/sour from mustard sauce as you can see in the photo. Also, the skin were white and rubbery. I would have thought that grilled chicken would have a nice charred skin. Chips in Souvlaki were soggy. I can understand that there is sauce and meat juice but I would expect a little crunch because it just came out of the kitchen and chips on its own were good and crunchy. We definitely have had better Souvlaki elsewhere and I think it's a little overpriced compared to what we get. Anyway, thank you for your service. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. ●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●● To response the reply from owner ... - I knew the tangy is from mustard sauce and I personally think it was too much so it was too tangy. Some people might like it but unfortunately I didn't. - There was table service but my experience was that we didn't get water and I thought the water is self-service. Hence, I got up and took the water myself until the lady swapped the empty bottle for us. - Also, we did spend more than $90 just to get the fact right. We don't mind paying good price for good food. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. And for you to suggest that we should go fish and chips because it's cheaper. That said a lot about your attitude. - It seems that you can't take constructive criticism, that's too bad. It's a shame that instead of taking on feedback and improve you quality of food and service, you took it and threw it back at us. Well, I won't be responding to this review anymore. Have a good day.

It’s a great pity what happened last evening, everything was going lovely, until a split bill was denied, thing that of course we could arrange, even being a large group. But the way of communication was the problem. If we didn’t know about the split bill it was because it wasn’t posted anywhere, but being rude and verbally abusing to a woman unexpectedly for no reason, that’s unacceptable, because this is no reason to react that way. This woman is one of the most sweet people in the world that will never rise her voice aggressively. When our group party hear this man shouting in her face reacted and I don’t blame them. I’m sure he will say I am a lair too, as he already said about another reviewers. When things calmed down, he did not apologise, not even at the end. Instead we had a conversation with the lovely lady that was working there, explaining us that this man is a good person and that this is his cultural way of expressing himself. Really? Edit: I was the customer arriving late, yes our table was loud when I opened the door to enter, and what actually happened was that all the other tables (with people I don’t know) clapped too, uniting themself to our group, thing that I found funny and a very human reaction. Edit 2: I can see here who is a lier. Unpaid items? We paid absolutely everything what are talking about? This going far. I will leave this to KARMA.

Triakosia offers an authentic Greek dining experience that beautifully captures the essence of Mediterranean flavors. During our visit, we indulged in the open chicken and lamb souvlaki. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, with just the right hint of char from the grill. I had to remove several fatty bits, but that’s just the meat and where some of the flavours come from. The accompanying pita bread was warm, providing the perfect vessel for the juicy meats and flavourful tzatziki. The menu features a wide array of Greek classics that ensures there’s something for everyone, and the quality makes it a place worth returning to again and again. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a rustic charm that made it feel like a cozy Greek taverna. I love that the decor was not your stereotypical blue, white and fishing nets. The service was attentive, with the staff knowledgeable about the dishes and more than willing to provide recommendations.

I met one of the rude waitress in front of the gate of the venue. We were 6 people and a little bit late. On the way to go to the restaurant we called them and said we will be late and they said “no issue you can come and take your seats and table” but when we arrive they did not accept us more importantly one of the waitress behave so rude. I do not suggest anyone to stay there, hospitality is the worst!

EDIT: I am editing this message in regards to reply from restaurant:

  1. We called you before original booking time and provided a valid reason for late, and we said will be there at 7:15pm. And we were there at the exact time interval. On the way to restaurant you cancelled the reservation. But we already provided you a valid reason.

  2. Please do not do political correctness saying "Please take into consideration the impact a no-show/lack of communication has on small businesses". We pay attention and know what does it mean "impact small businesses". that's why we chose your premises.

  3. It seems you do not have any policy about your customers. If you have please share it with us. I personally really want to see your policy. For example: do you have an item in your policy saying, after customer arrival late, we can not accept the customer saying "you were late we will not accept you" in front of other customers with an high volume of voice and rude behavior.

  4. I was a guest (I am not an original requester). As a guest, I really embarrassed your behaviors towards customers (not only us but also your dine-in customers) and try to tell you what was the reason for the late. You did not listen, you did not ask us the reason, you did not open for the communication.

  5. SHAME ON YOU!

hope more...
