Just wanted to warn the public about the way this place charges you for food.
People would normally expect that if they buy an item in a larger quantity then they would pay a lower unit cost for it, but not so at this place. The X-Large serve costs DOUBLE the price of the Large serve, yet it contains LESS THAN DOUBLE the quantity of the Large serve. What this means is that you are a lot better of if you buy 2x Large serves as you will get more than if you buy the X-Large serve (both of which will cost you the same price). See the attached photo for their pricing. One of the 2 ladies in the shop (the one who appeared to be the more senior one) was also not very friendly when she was quizzed about the capacity of the different sized foil containers.
See the correspondance I have with the store owner below:

I did not complain, I just made a comment stating that X-Large is a bad deal for the customers and thought that maybe the double price was an error. But you have just confirmed by your comments that X-large is a bad deal for the customers because you pay double the cost of a Large and receive less than double the amount of a Large.
I suspect that customers did not complain because they were not aware of the facts. Once I spread the message of the bad deal you may start to get some complaints from customers as to why you charge double the price of large and the customers receives considerably less than double the quantity.

Hi.
My friend came in to your shop today to enquire about pricing for takeaway chicken curry for myself. He asked to see the Large & X-Large foil containers and your staff did not know hom many ML capacity they were so my friend made these estimates for me:
Large: 25 x 25 x 5 cm = 3125ml X-Large: 27 x 30 x 5 cm = 4050ml
You are charging $30 for large size and $60 for X-Large size. Just wondering why X-Large size is double the price when the capacity is only about 30%...
Read moreI recently ordered from a curry and chips shop on Uber and I must say, I am extremely disappointed with the pricing. It seems like some establishments are taking advantage of customers without any consideration for fairness or regulation. Take, for example, the ribbon cake that was charged at an exorbitant price of $10. To add insult to injury, a small portion cake was priced at the same amount. This kind of pricing discrepancy is simply unacceptable and feels like a deliberate attempt to exploit unsuspecting customers. Furthermore, the budget pack was priced at a staggering $20, despite offering the same portion size as a more reasonably priced alternative. This blatant price hike raises serious questions about the ethics of these businesses. It is disheartening to see such greediness in action, especially without any regulation on third-party platforms like Uber. Melbourne, being a city known for its fairness and transparency, deserves better. It is high time that stricter regulations are put in place to prevent these unjust price disparities and ensure that businesses operate ethically and...

Curry & Chips WAS a good place to buy some snacks and other items over the years. Unfortunately, something has gone wrong. I am not sure how a place can go from, good to worse in a year!
My last 4 visits have been very bad experience, from extremely salty foods to old burnt foods!
But the last one has resulted in severe food poisoning!!!!
We bought Wattallapam pack for $35 for a dinner function at home. Unfortunately, it tasted very sour, but it was too late for us to stop our children eating it, because children had their dinner & desserts very early in the evening.
Unfortunately, kids ended up with severe diarrhoea and stomach cramps for nearly a day.
NOT GOING THERE AGAIN.
I kept the Wattallapam in the freezer and was going to call the Monash Council, but changed my mind because, it's Covid and all businesses are having...
