I have always been a regular at Daniel Donuts from the very start. However, since the change of new owners, i have not been back. The reasons why i enjoyed going to Daniel's was because there was one regular staff member by the name of Valentina was so lovely and welcoming that you could hear her even from the car park. Her customer service was next to none and exceptional. I was devasted to see that new owners have taken over and the regular staff member isn't there, so i thought i would give Daniel's Donuts one last try last week. When i attended, i was served by a staff member who acted like my presense disturbed her and me rocking up was an inconvinience. I asked the staff member the price of the donut packs to which she responded rudely "It is $21 for 6 donuts". So i went to select the donuts and got to the last 3 donut selection to which she complained and accused me of selecting the wrong donuts, then proceeded to put the donuts back and then rolled her eyes at me and then eventually gave me the right donuts i wanted. She rudely then as i went to pay, shoved the eftpos machine in my face and said "here pay!".
In conclusion, at Daniel's Donuteria with the Tina working there, i had noticed on regular occasions when going to shops in the hogans corner district, it was very busy and customers loved her and acknowledged Tina's exceptional customer service. However with the new change over, the store is mainly empty with the occasional person and or Uber driver coming in. Which highlights that while it was Daniels Donuteria, the customer service was the priority and that kept customers coming back and coming in. Due to my recent experience, i will not be going back to Daniels Donuts. Here is a Tip: If you are all about customer service, maybe bring...
Read moreThis is the 6th time we've come to Daniels Doughnuts, albeit after 6pm, and they have either had no vegan options, or, they have had only 4 left in-stock OR they've only had two sub-par flavours left in quantity.
On 3 separate occasions, there was 4 vegan doughnuts available. When we asked the workers if there was anything they could do in terms of a discount on the last 4, we were rudely advised no & that 4 doughnuts was going to cost nearly as much as a 6-pack...
This is ridiculous, I was extremely hesitant to leave this review, but we had tried on multiple occasions to no avail.
We even tried visiting the service station down the road that had Daniels Doughnuts signage, also to no avail.
I understand that while DD's has become what seems to be more corporatised, your goals should still be to keep consumers happy - to have a customer walk away rather than serve them, even at a discount, shows poor business structure. NEVER let a customer walk out unsatisfied. These are the first businesses to fall in a major recession or economic downturn - and one is heading out way fast.
To offer 4 doughnuts for close to the price of 6 (literally), is extremely offensive, and leaves a bad taste in our mouths as loyal customers of DD's.
You need to do a bit better on the vegan side of things and make more offerings available.
I am hesitant to ever come back to DD's based on the consistency and their lack of vegan options at the times we've visited. In addition, how we were treated when trying to make a PURCHASE with your business. It's very disappointing and...
Read moreI needed to think of a way to get the best doughnuts they had, but I had no idea how to navigate their menu as it was only my second time there.
But then it hit me. I thought, "Who better to ask about the doughnuts here than those who serve them?", or so I thought...
All that there was left was to ask the right question. Simply asking what they'd recommend wouldn't do it. It wasn't specific enough and lacked urgency to the point where their deepest, most fundamental essence of doughnut- preferring senses were dulled.
Then it hit me. "In the hypothetical event that your dog turned into a human and had a day to live, within which you may serve them two doughnuts, which two would you choose to maximise their enjoyment in their final hours?".
That was the perfect question to ask, as she (the young lady at the counter) gave me her best, most honest, most preferred recommendation for a doughnut. It was almost like it was objective fact that those doughnuts were the best. She put aside any thought of subjective differences in taste and preferences, and gave me the most genuinely preferred doughnuts she had.
And her recommendation was otherworldly. I enjoyed every bite of it. If I were a dog in human form approaching certain death, then I would have no regrets eating those doughnuts while...
