This is by far, a fantastic Indonesia theme restaurant! So authentic, delicious, various, and will definitely bring the Indonesian experience. You will have "warteg"- styles menus, with a lot of surprise. Padang, bakso, Iga, Ketoprak, just name it. The place is not a fancy one, but still comfortable. For the price, it varies, but mostly 15. The only thing you need to note is, they are close at 6. So, make your time! Aaad, of course, it is Halal!

Place has re-opened again, wooohoo. attached new photos One of best padang food in melbourne. Beef rendang was tasty, juicy, and tender. Beef lungs was fried with lightly coated batter so every bite was crispy and a bit chewy inside which it’s to my liking 🤪. then, the aroma and taste from the rice that lightly bath with jackfruit curry was ........... gosh i am hungry again 😋😋😋😋 oh yes!!! batagor also recommend to try too

An authentic Indonesian restaurant in Springvale. We ordered ‘bubur ayam’ (chicken porridge). The portion size is decent and the toppings are generous. The flavour is a bit subdued. However, one important thing about this restaurant is the price. It’s very friendly to the wallet. It’s something that is very rare in today’s standard. It’s highly appreciated.

Encountered the stingiest lady in the food industry here. I won't generalize and say that this review applies to all the staff members there, but I will absolutely not visit this establishment after my most recent experience. I ordered rice with a meat and vegetables sides, and the staff server (a middle aged lady), gave me the tiniest serving of vegetables I've ever gotten.

To be more detailed, the vegetable dish was potatoes with long beans. the potato cubes are 1cm^3 (i.e. small cubes). In total she gave me 5 cubes of potatoes and 7 pieces of sliced "long bean" which were 3cm long and 0.5cm wide.

In other words, if you were to gather all the vegetables together, they're about the size of the gap when you put the tip of your index finger and thumb together. Mind you, the cost of this vegetable side...

I would recommend their Nasi Goreng if you are about to choose which food they're best at. Especially if you get used to Indonesian cuisine.

For cheaper options, choose menu from their bain marie trays. It is only 6 dollars for any rice [you can ask a big portion of steamed WHITE rice] with one dish , 9 dollars for two dishes, and 11 (12?) for three dishes, dine in. I think they have the cheapest prices in Melbourne for this option.

Their rendang is okay. Their fried chickens [they have some choices to choose for fried chicken] are also good.

If it rains and or chilly, their ox tail soup would be a good choice served with steamed white rice.

By the way, they also provide FREE...

The only Indonesian restaurant that could make "Nasi Tumpeng". This place is one of our favourite Indonesian restaurants in Melbourne.

The price was reasonable $150.00 - that would include fried noodle, fried chicken, perkedel, Indonesian rendang, tempe, urap "Indonesian traditional salad" and a box of Indonesian traditional chilli "Sambal Ulek".

We really enjoyed the tumpeng especially the perkedel, rendang and of course the traditional chilli. They were really nice and well cooked. Unfortunately, the fried noodle was little bit too salty or else everything would be perfect.

Highly recommended place to eat.
