Best bún bò Huế (Huế style spicy beef noodle, but it wasn’t really spicy so would suit those who cannot tolerate hot, spicy food) we’ve ever had in Melbourne. Rarely can we find a 10/10 Vietnamese dish in Melbourne but I’d give this bún bò Huế a 10.5/10 with just the right level of sweetness and fermented flavour and the crab and beef paste and the thinly sliced brisket. There was a good amount of protein to go with the noodle and soup. The fresh herbs and lettuce that come with the dish is also well prepared. Would definitely come back and highly recommend to those who love bún bò. We also had Vietnamese fermented fish noodle soup and it was also delicious. The only feedback we’ve got for this dish is that one of the toppings, though it is okay if served separately, might not go very well with this type of noodle. But overall it was also a very tasty and satisfying bowl of noodle. Also highly recommended! Plus the menu items are very reasonably priced, $15 per dish on average.

Came here with a friend, he had the phở and I went for the bún mắm, with a chả cốm to share. I’ve been craving authentic bún mắm for years, and no place in Melbourne has really hit the mark, until now. This one was spot on! The phở is southern-style, which isn’t usually our go-to (we’re more into northern-style), but it was absolutely delicious and loaded with meat. My friend devoured it so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to snap a proper photo. Now, let’s talk about the chả cốm. We were obsessed!! It was bursting with flavour, savory, meaty, with the perfect crunch and a lovely hint of that signature cốm aroma. Just incredible! Portions were super generous for the price. We’re already planning our next visit!

I first came to this restaurant by chance when it had just opened. I often order Bún Riêu and Bún Bò here – both are very delicious and full of authentic Vietnamese flavor. The owners are always friendly and check in to see how I enjoy the food. The Bún Mắm is also a must-try. Recently, the owner has started taking orders for other Vietnamese dishes on Facebook. The Cháo Bột – Bánh Canh Miền Trung really reminds me of home in Vietnam A great spot for anyone looking for real Vietnamese food – highly recommend!

Visited yesterday with 3 others. Me and one other shared the bun bo hue special and vermicelli dry noodles (with pork belly and spring rolls). We also put chilli on our food. Out of the 4 of us, two of us are experiencing diarrhoea symptoms today and it seems like it was from this restaurant. It was the only food that both of us ate which was the same, and which the other two didn’t eat.

Also when we went to pay, there were blowflies on the tables which hadn’t been cleared, and leftover food had been sitting around for a while.

Service was polite but our drinks took a long time. It would be good to have prices on the...
