Honestly, I don’t usually leave reviews but this needed to be said.
The team at Degani Craigieburn, especially the girls on coffee duty, are hands down the worst part of the whole place. Every time I’ve walked in, not once have I been greeted with a smile or even a simple "hi." You just stand there waiting while they’re too busy having a full-on yarn behind the counter, completely ignoring the fact that a customer is standing right there.
You can literally be waiting 4–5 minutes before anyone bothers to take your order and when they finally do, they barely listen. The amount of times I’ve been handed the wrong coffee is ridiculous. And when they do get it “right,” the coffee is absolutely terrible and bland.
What really got to me though is the attitude. There's zero courtesy, and worse, they poke fun at customers' names if they can’t pronounce them. That’s just straight-up disrespectful, and completely unprofessional.
The only saving grace is the food, it’s decent. And the blokes (I think one’s a Sikh guy and the other might be Nepali or Indian) are actually polite and seem to be doing their best. But the white girls at the coffee station? Sorry to say, they’re dragging the whole place down.
Degani is meant to be a proper brand. But the experience here makes it feel like a dodgy local café with zero standards. If the management actually cares about this business, they seriously need to rethink who they’ve got behind the counter starting with the coffee crew.
Wouldn't recommend this place if you’re after a decent coffee or...
Read moreThis is the second time ever I have given a restaurant poor ratings, this time for dismal and terrible services. The reason is as follows : We ordered a Seafood Marinara Pizza on our way, back from work, to the restaurant and the attendee took the order over the phone and committed that the Pizza will be ready by the time we reach there. When we reached the restaurant, we were told to make the payment which I gleefully did anticipating the food will be delivered right away. In reality, they started only thereafter and made us wait for another 20 min. Upon enquiring the reason for the delay, The staff replied "Ohh people keep ordering over the phone and then they don't turn up" to which I reasoned " Then you should tell customers you don't take orders over the phone" to which she quipped " But we do take orders over the phone ". I couldn't help but ask "Is it the accent that determines whether to prepare the order received over the phone". I had to ask this as this is the second time they did this to us - the first time was over a couple of coffees - we were asked to collect the coffees from counter after making payment. When we reached the restaurant, we had to wait in a long queue of Dine ins before we could even reach the counter and experienced the same ordeal. Whether it's based on accent or just a way of misleading customers to keep the sale, a BIG ZERO on the take away services. This is totally not cool and an...
Read moreI was present at the time Sita and her friends were dining at this restaurant and I would like to mention things from my perspective. This group of girls gave that poor waitress such a hard time and were rude to her the entire time of their stay. I was close enough to hear them essentially yelling at her and making her feel uncomfortable. They would also laugh at her after she stepped away from their table which is appalling, especially when you’re a grown woman and you’re being served by a child. I had the chance to speak to her myself when she was at my table and she seemed stressed because of them. On top of that she was new which those women clearly knew, so why would you make her life harder on purpose. The whole issue with the milkshake could honestly have been avoided so did you guys do it on purpose?? Being lactose intolerant wouldn’t you be able to taste the difference in milk? I know for sure if you’re intolerant or allergic to something you’re well aware when that thing is in your food/drink. Overall the waitress was very kind and catered to all of their needs and our needs. Please be kind to service people even if they make a mistake and be patient. We’re all human and deserve to be treated...
