The Flying Loaf Bakery — Restaurant in Melbourne

Found this gem of a bakery accidentally, wasn’t intending on getting anything but after quick browse and a friendly greeting by the staff, there was no resisting. Banh mi (upsold from classic to pork crackle) no regrets, absolutely delicious! Custard tart which was pretty dang good. And a cheese and bacon pie… which was good. But, cold. Which was very sad because I feel like it would have been an absolute win if it was hot! Was still good, hence the five stars. My friend loved his food, the coffee was good. Not amazing, but he’d happily get again. He also did say his pie was also cold. But his vanilla slice and service was all 5 stars.

Everytime I go, it doesn't matter what time it is there's no variety at all. Were lucky if we get some dinner rolls..

Hi I'm sorry if this review upset you, it was certainly not my intention, I was looking at my reviews and had given you 5 stars a few years ago, as we love your products. It's just annoying that everytime we come, the shelves are empty. So that's why I changed my review. Not to mention the rude worker at the front counter who's always telling the other workers off. Her attitude is so bad it has turned us off coming to the bakery. . I remember when Tina was there she was lovely.

Excellent Bhan-mi recepies and a wide variety of sweet bakery products including range of breads to choose from. Excellent and quick customer service that you can't complain. I guess the place offers coffee and other types of beverages but no space for dine in. This place is inside the highlands shopping centre so you could visit it during your shopping sessions to buy your other groceries. Price is very reasonable and I guess the cheapest Bhan mi I've bought in Melbourne if not close. Wish this place had dine...
