REVIEW: 👏 We left our paninis in the staff's capable hands (name on cashier: Candice). She did an amazing job in pulling together surprise paninis for us, while checking to make sure we had no dietaries! All the combinations were thought through. From a mixture of textures, flavours, colours, everything was delicious. It's really raised the panini bar for me. ✨ My friend liked the chicken schnitzel more for its classic taste and its thin crunch, but fluffy panini base. 🥵 I preferred the Calabrese because of its refreshing elements (primarily from the stracciatella cheese) and the heat from the salami. This was little bit messier to eat because of its spongey exterior which really got all the oils on my hands 🤣. Also mental note: one panini is enough between two people.
We learned later on that Deli on Lloyd doesn't charge for customisations. There's 3 panini covers to choose from and any additions, such as meat? No extra change!! Candice(?) also thoughtfully cut our paninis in half so we could easily share while dining in. 🤩
Also their soy chai latte is phenomenal. Although they use bonsoy milk, they get the right temperature to bring out the sweetness of the milk. Delicious chai as well - one of my favourites I've had in Melbourne! ☕
Highly recommend Deli on Lloyd!! This is a panini...
Read morejudged on a takeAway coffee only- surprisingly decent latte! service is a little bit relaxed- a young lady on the phone behind the counter had to call out to someone else to mend the coffee bar. And soy milk was $1 extra; a little bit dear for a common diary alternative! However the coffee itself was better than expected. 3.8 stars. Takeaway (only!) $4 for a regular latte. $5 for a soy latte. (i’ve had ‘better’ $5 soy lattes in melbourne: 3 stars for soy cafe latte, 4 stars for regular milk...
Read moreThe paninis (chicken schnitzel & vegetarian) were tasty, although they were ‘heated’, they were warm on the outside, but still cold in the centre. One of the paninis had to be made from scratch, so came out delayed. My partner had already eaten half of theirs. I’d suggest making the other one first & then bringing them both out at the same time. Seating is available outside. It’s unfortunate that the bench seat has the garbage bins...
