di francesco Cucina Italiana Woodfired Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went to this restaurant for the first time for my brother’s birthday. There is a good range of pasta and pizza options. The interior is cute and warm.

We ordered the prosciutto, capricciosa and hot salami, ham and sausage pizza. For pasta we had the gnocchi with Napoli sauce and orecchiette with mushroom and pork in cream sauce. My personal favourite was the prosciutto pizza as it had buffalo mozzarella. The other two pizzas were nice but not as good as the prosciutto. The gnocchi was very soft but we wish the portion was more generous like the other pasta. The orecchiette was my least favourite as the flavour or the sauce wasn’t great and overall a bit salty.

For dessert we had pistachio and strawberry gelato which was very yummy. My brother had the Nutella pizza which was an indulgence and a bit too sweet!

The service at this restaurant was great and the waiters were very friendly. Might give this restaurant another go as the prices are reasonable and we like that they do...

We decided to go for dinner before going to Palace Cinemas to watch a movie with friends. Our friends decided to book here @dfCIW. Upon arrival we sat down inside but we soon advised if we could sit outside as it was a beautiful Melbourne's night. We all ordered our meals. I ordered the Pappardelle al ragù d'agnello, Mrs ordered the Tagliatelle al ragü. Friends wife ordered the Blue swimmer crab spaghetti and my friend the prawn pasta dish. We all enjoyed our dishes, but, I want to add that my wife's dish did not look very appealing at all, compared to the rest of our meals. She would not order it again. We had to finish it off with Desert so we all decided on the Tiramisu. It was nice, my personal pref would be that it needs slightly more alcohol. The rest of the flavour was good. Overall a...

Just had the pleasure of dining at Di Francesco’s , a delightful experience alround. We were a mixed group of adults and children which was very patiently accommodated. Frank, Angela and the wait staff were very attentive and super pleasant . The food was exceptional, the menu catered for all our tastes and needs. The freshness of the antipasti , delightful . The pasta cooked to perfection. The pizza base just as it should be , the toppings delicious . As an old nonna I was savouring the flavours of each mouthful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return . I would highly recommend a visit and look forward to our next meal at Difrancesco’s very soon . Thank you for a lovely meal...
