Bro these donuts were god sent
Edit: I came to this shop in person for the first time, I even pestered my sister to come late at night despite living half an hour away we got to come. These donuts are life-changing. When I got my 2 boxes of donuts my dog swayed my sister which caused one of the boxes to fall splat onto the floor. My tears were cascading like a tap after that and my sister went back to buy another box. But the owner who I did not get to grab his name was extremely kind about it! He asked what happened, refused to let my sister pay and made a replacement straight away despite a big crowd of customers... When I came back to say thank you with tears in my eyes he took the time to comfort me and said I was very welcome back to his shop. To the owner, your kindness is hard to find in this world and I appreciate it. It may be just donuts to somebody else but tonight, I am savouring every bite of these 'kindness donuts'. I truly do feel 'all good' now :") I will remember your kindness, and thank you from the deepest part of my heart. Thank you !
Edit: I came here recently so I changed the review down to suit the present. It seems that the owner has changed :( the texture and shape of the donut was not the right… some parts chewy and uncooked and some parts crispy.. It’s not round and small, chewy like it used to always be… They also seem to be stingy with the sauce now… On a final note, customer service could be more friendly and prompt, that is all...
Read moreI visited this place tonight and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The staff exhibited a remarkable level of rudeness that left a bitter taste in my mouth.
From the moment I walked in, it felt like an inconvenience for the staff to acknowledge my presence. Their lack of courtesy and dismissive attitudes made the entire ordering process an ordeal. It's disheartening when you expect a sweet treat and end up with a bitter encounter.
The donuts themselves were mediocre, but the unpleasant demeanor of the staff overshadowed any potential enjoyment. I ordered a green tea to go with my donuts only to realise the tea was peppermint flavour. I asked the staff if they gave me a green tea and she pulls the box out and tells me to read it. “Peppermint infused!” She yells in a shop full of customers. I was so embarrassed I didn’t even comment back. I took my tea and left it at the table with the rest of my order and walked out. Customer service is a crucial aspect of any business, and drizzled seems to have missed the mark entirely. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant and welcoming environment for a simple indulgence in...
Read moreORDERED: 🍩 Matcha Made in Heaven: Matcha sauce with sprinkled matcha powder. With vanilla bean gelato ($17.80)
REVIEW: Compared to Lukumades, Drizzl'd provides a few more doughnut balls and more sauce in the serve. The two are competitors for me, with its similar delicious fried crispy outer layer and fluffy insides. Just like a bare bones donut.
Matcha sauce was coming through strong, with its minimal bitterness but finishing off really potent and savoury. The suggested vanilla bean gelato added a level of creaminess that really took the dessert to the next level. You could probably go without it because it quickly overwhelmed the experience, and the container for the gelato is flimsy. It gathered condensation so quickly, that it became wet to touch and hold. Please get a thicker/new gelato cup!!
I noticed that if you post and tag Drizzl'd on your instagram story, they MAY respond to you with a discount offer for your next dessert (redeemable within a month) 👀 .
Could go to either Drizzl'd or Lukumades - I guess it's really where you are in the area and what's convenient for you. Both have some great flavour choices with their...
