Ordered Braised pork belly on rice and curry puffs. I will never order from here again or recommend you do. I understand that with this kind of dish there will be some pork fat but this was ridiculous only 2 pieces of meat and the rice was soaked in the sauce and so much fat. I spoke to a young woman who was working here today and she said quote ‘this is how it it’s and how we get it from the seller’ What a joke my dish was lathered in thick gravy limited flavour and chunks of pork fat. If you cast your eye to the picture displayed above the counter, this dish looks nothing like it. I’m not sure who cooks in this kitchen but coming from a family who has chefs this is disgraceful that Dumpling Chefs expect customers to pay for a plate full of fat floating in sauce or gravy. I will post on other social media platforms as i have a large following for my videos. What makes this worse is the staff member acted like she knew what she was talking about and clearly had no idea and after i turned around she whinged to the man sitting near me who could have been the chef on his lunch break. I note his plate of food was full of meat that he served himself. Shitty customer service and a waste of money.

Today ate Dumpling Chef. Service was reasonably good. Server was very friendly, though lacked a bit of attention. Surprisingly, she knew Vietnamese, as I was ordering the food. But service was not bad. Ordered the Sesame Prawn Toast and Salt & Pepper Squid. The way they presented the Salt & Pepper Squid is excellent. Very vibrant and golden-brown. There were a bit of Squid pieces that have a bit of skin removed, probably because when frying, one of the pieces stuck next to each other. It's cooked. Not too chewy. White tender flesh. The outside is seasoned very well. Very crunchy. Love how they pair with the spring onions. You can taste the pair between fried squid and the freshness from the white spring onion. The Sesame Prawn toast was not burnt. It's cooked to perfection. You can see a few pieces of Prawn. It's well blended, in order to stick to the white bread slices. You can definitely taste the prawns, in the filling. Overall, this is still one of my favourite places to eat in Parkmore.

Like the new look but hate they took away the meal I mostly get bring back sizzling beef with rice. The beef with black bean sauce was ok, but the beef was grisly and really chewy, so didn't really enjoy the main star of the meal. Some of the rice was stuck together but most was good. My partner had the seafood laska, which wasn't as filling as when he had it before they closed to refurbish the shop. He said despite that it was ok.

I have always loved the food they serve but I am extremely disappointed with there customer service. I had a take away order today of one Malysian Style Fried Rice and two serves of Steamed Prawn Dumplings. The lady who took my order was still with acceptable behavior but on the time of food pickup, another lady served me who threw the fried rice in front of me. Now I am looking at her cause firstly, the behavior she showed and secondly, where arw my dumplings!? And cherry on the cake was her response, “What!?” for which I replied “The Dumplings!?” then the lady went through my order again and threw me the dumplings as well. My point is that aren’t they getting money for the food or is there an issue with there customer service handling training? This was my experience at there Keysborough branch and had the same at there Fountain Gate branch as well....
