No spoons !
The food was decent, but they don't provide stainless steel cutlery which completely ruined the dining experience. I felt like I was eating at a food court, and not a restaurant.
We asked the staff for one but they told us they don't have any. Unconvinced, we asked another staff member who quickly dismissed our request. I'm not sure how a working kitchen can operate without any spoons but apparently this one does.
The mind boggles why not provide proper cutlery? Afterall, the food wasn't served on plastic plates.
Is it to save costs, to save washing up, to prevent theft, or maybe it's to encourage everyone to use chopsticks to have an authentic Chinese experience? Sorry but I can't eat with chopsticks and I also can't eat my Kung Pao Chicken with a plastic soup spoon - which is what they provided to us.
I tried, but got frustrated so asked them for a takeaway container so I could enjoy my food at home. They gave us a cardboard box. To save on plastic I guess? Ok, I get the sustainability angle they are going with here but it's not practical to put sauce in cardboard. It just doesn't work.
So, 5 stars:
Minus 1 star for no spoon. Minus 1 star for the cardboard box takeaway container. Minus 1 star for staff who didn't seem to care.
Total: 2/5 stars.
Perhaps I'm the first to complain about this, but I know I won't be the last. Please, provide patrons with...
Read moreBought food there today 13/04/21 at 10:00am The food taste and quantity was good but the customer service part of it was horrible. The asian lady that served at the pos was really rude and arrogant. The new card machine that she claims does not work properly with some Android Phones using tap and pay. She is not accepting any feedback and think the new machine is working fine. In fact, my phone works perfectly on most machine including all the supermarket and restaurants. I hope this reaches the manager or whom ever is in charge. You should train your staff better. Start by practicing how to treat everyone equally and accepting feedback to improve for better customer experience. Remember that this is Australia and that we value fairness and integrity. We live in a polite and respectful society. Please leave old habits behind and learn how to practice the australian way of life. Dont be rude and arrogant. I am giving a 1 star rating for the...
Read moreI don’t understand why they only serve boneless roast duck. My roast duck arrived extremely dry and overcooked. Parts of the meat were fried black and charred and hard. Paid nearly $30 for what I thought was 1/2 a roast duck. Received a small portion of burnt tasteless crisp mystery meat vaguely resembling duck. Also ordered a platter of dumplings. Upon first inspection they seemed to be tiny. And upon tasting them they lacked seasoning and flavour. The wonton wrappers were chewy and very undercooked. Tasted like raw flour/dough. And the soup dumplings we ordered lacked any taste. Had to be doused in vinegar to make them palatable. So disappointed. We opted for this place over the roast guys across the way but seriously regret it once we tasted...
