Today, I had the pleasure of indulging in one of the most exquisite culinary experiences that left an indelible mark on my palate.
The cat at The Embassy is an expertly crafted creation, with a perfectly balanced flavor profile and a superb texture. Whether fried or steamed, each version offers a unique and delicious experience.
The fried cat was a revelation. Its delicate, flaky, crispy exterior reminded me of an expertly crafted pastry from a Parisian patisserie. The crunch was just right, giving way to a rich, flavorful filling of tender meat and fresh cabbage. It was a symphony of textures and tastes, each bite more satisfying than the last.
The steamed cat, on the other hand, was equally impressive. It was soft, supple, and had an exquisite mouthfeel. Each bite was like floating on a cloud in paradise, with the filling's flavors melding beautifully with the soft wrapper. It was comforting and indulgent, a true testament to the skill of The Embassy's chefs.
In terms of presentation, both versions were fantastic. The fried cat had a golden, inviting appearance, while the steamed cat looked delicate and appetizing. Both were served with care and attention to detail, enhancing the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, the cat at The Embassy is a must-try. Its expertly balanced flavors, perfect textures, and impeccable presentation make it one of the best I've ever tasted. Whether you choose fried or steamed, you're in for a delightful treat that will leave you...
Read moreIt is 24 hours plenty of parking at night and has fantastic steak sandwiches etc. This place has been here for years and originally used by taxi drivers and night shift workers when there weren't any 24 hour shops open then. Has TV screens, outdoor, indoor eating, and seperate outdoor smoking area. Very Good value very good food. If you didn't know the place you would drive by it in a blink. It needs a proper well lit sign outside to replace whatever the current one is! Came back tonight 20 June 2019, ordered the hamburger special with chip and a drink for $16. The chips had no taste, appeared dry and hard, cold and possibly re fried? The hamburger looked good, but no taste either! The meat was tasteless. If my eyes were taped shut and asked to taste the meat in the hamburger, I would not have known what I was eating. It, the service was excellent. I first came here in 1977, I think it has had its day, unless they can work some miracles with this food. I’ll have to now give it a miss! Goodbye Embassy! Seems to be a lot of great reviews lately, I’ll drop in next couple of weeks to see what is different. It has picked up since and rainy now...
Read moreIt's a time machine not a cafe. There's a sign on the wall that says it was established in 1962 - seems likely. They've made a few concessions over the years: the cab dispatch upstairs is gone; the (assumed) Chico roll poster has been displaced. Cab drivers still pause here in the mid-morning lull. Tradies drop in to get a carton of carbs for the crew at lunch. There's a steady drumbeat of people coming in and out. Everything is in cash. There's no tablecloths, or polished concrete, and you can stick your haute cuisine where the sun doesn't shine. At 4am, service can be a bit brusque, especially if you're demanding and drunk. They close for a week or two at New Year but they're otherwise open and slinging fast food...
