UPDATE IN AUGUST 2018 The pub changed hands since my last review and is now a more typical local pub. Still friendly service and a comfortable environment but more casual and a simpler menu. We've taken a bunch of kids there occasionally and its low stress because the floor is polished concrete and there is plenty of room for kids to run around. It has a wood fire in the dining hall which is a nice touch in the winter months. Waited ages to get served every time we went up to the bar, staff had no idea what they were doing. My partner's parma was overcooked and dry whereas my rabbit pie was undercooked and had bone fragments in it, left me really ill the following day. Our plates, and the plates on all surrounding tables, were left uncollected for the hour and a half we spent there....

Pathetic. Trying to support local businesses. This place is currently closed. With no note in the window. We were looking for a local pub for an easy meal near home and this place is bone dry.
