Nestled in the heart of Melbourne, Taiwan Cafe offers a delightful taste of Taiwan’s culinary delights with a side of warm hospitality. Stepping into this cozy spot, you’re immediately greeted by the aromas of authentic Taiwanese cuisine and the welcoming smiles of the staff.

I recently tried their Chicken Rice and Oyster Omelette (蚵仔煎), and while the authenticity of the dishes was evident, I found that the ingredients could be improved to elevate the flavors further. However, despite this minor setback, the overall dining experience was enjoyable.

What truly sets Taiwan Cafe apart is the friendliness of the staff. From the moment you walk in, they go out of their way to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable. Their genuine warmth adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal, making you feel like part of the family.

In conclusion, Taiwan Cafe offers a taste of Taiwan right here in Melbourne, with authentic flavors and friendly service. While there is room for improvement in the quality of ingredients, the overall experience makes it a worthwhile dining destination for anyone craving a taste of...

This neighbourhood cafe is nothing but a simple good joint which reminded me of the canteens in hospitals or government offices back in India. There isn’t any effort to make the ambiance better, maybe because they are more into takeaway and food delivery business. The food was good however, the most disappointing part was the serving size. We ended up ordered a third dish to share as we were still hungry after the dinner. I wish at least they could reduce the pricing. The staff were friendly, and there are Taiwanese local drinks in the fridge. I have tried the Taiwanese beef noodles and it was delicious. The bento box was average as we have had better ones in the CBD restaurants. The vermicelli dishes were very...

Dined in and had a Taiwanese chicken bento. Price was reasonable, portion was decent and no extra surcharge on the weekend which is always pleasant.

A few selection of favourite Taiwanese dishes to choose from if you’re craving these flavours. Not a very extensive menu, but good enough to hit some of the usual comfort spots like the fried chicken, noodles, beef rice.

Dining and plate ware is not very elevated - for instance they have disposable cutlery. Doesn’t detract from the flavour, just something to be aware of if you are looking for an elevated...
