Ferguson Plarre's Bakehouse - Officer — Restaurant in Melbourne

I ordered for my daughter's birthday cake from this place. It was on 30th May, since I am new to Australia I didn't know that bakeries close here at 5 30. Somehow I messed up the timing and went there past 5 30. I was utterly shocked to see the bakery closed, now I know that it is partly my fault as well. But no one at the bakery didn't even bother to give me a courtesy call before closing, I was shocked and disheartened to see this level of non- professionalism from the reputed brand!! My daughter was in all tears when she came to know that her choice of cake is not available. I called the bakery the next day and they were very unapologetic about the fact that they even didn't bother to give a call and told me the pick up the cake. They don't even realize that they were equally responsible for ruining my little one's birthday. This is also because I paid the entire amount upfront. If I would have paid an advance no amount at all then I am 100% sure that they would have called me multiple times.

Lastly, I hope that it shouldn't happen to anyone else. If you are ordering a cake from this bakery then make sure to follow up by yourself and do not expect them to call you back. I am never going to order from this...

I bought the Nutella swirl cake for a birthday celebration. I thought that a bakery cake would be delicious. I was wrong.

The cake was hard and crumbly, the icing came off in sheets, and tasted like lard.

The cake was literally inedible, and I'm very sure it was an old cake. Every person that took a slice took one bite, and left the rest.

What a waste of $30.

You are better of going to Woolworths, or making a cake yourself.

We chose Ferguson Plarre Officer for our daughter’s first birthday cake and catering and we are so happy we did. The cake was beautifully made and absolutely delicious too! We ordered the party platter with mini pies, sausage rolls and oggies and they were a huge hit at the party and amazing value. Not only was the food great, the service is always 10/10. Staff are always friendly, helpful and very talented at what they do. I would definitely recommend Fergusons Plarre officer...
